LordDan Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 (edited) The Desert King's forces were not told where they were going, only to assemble in the middle of the night, ready for battle. They did as they were told, and found a Stranger waiting for them, ready to use his magic to take them to into their enemies greatest stronghold , the mighty city of Xersia. One minute they were in the middle of the desert, and then there was a bright light and they suddenly found themselves in the middle of a beautiful city, with a battle raging all around them. However the true target of this attack was not down in the streets, but on the top of a large building with elegant designs on its sides. The stranger brought the leader of these fire Mages to the roof of this building, and after dealing with the guards he set about destroying this source of the first centurions power By the end of the night Xersia was ablaze, and the Desert King Forces had routed the Ulandians Flickr or my phone( probably both) is being a Megablox and keeps reloading the page when I try to grab the Picture so here is the link instead https://www.flickr.c.../in/dateposted/ Got it using the computer Heres a picture of the inside of the main building Nktes: This is the largest build I have ever made, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. However I wish I had more time since I would have liked to add microscale buildings burning i the background and would have added more detail to the street but I ran out of time. Also the night scene is part of this build, it is inside the large building( there is a picture of the inside on my photostream) Edited May 18, 2015 by LordDan Quote

LittleJohn Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Fantastic build, LordDan! The inset white sections look excellent and I really like the tan house on the right Quote

Kai NRG Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I've been waiting for the better pictures to comment, and now that I can see this, it really looks fantastic! Love the insets in the architecture, and the little slice of garden is great! You've really been improving like crazy during this challenge, keep it up! Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Very impressive. Your largest build has turned out fantastically well. I love those light effects. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Both buildings are superb! The columns and gold detailing on the smaller building look great. And the insets and color usage on the large house are just as cool Quote
Gunman Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Beautiful build LordDan, I really like the tan building with the gold details. Also you realise that parts shortage can help you use parts in a great way.(ie watching the use of slopes at the interior of the building) Excellent job mate.. Quote
Captain Dee Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Incorporating the dark intro scene into the big building is ingenious and the lit up floor looks great too. The exteriors are beautifully done as well and the swirling fire effect is marvelous. The colorscheme is nice and I like the vegetation and statue on the corner. Very good work and keep it up! Quote
Blufiji Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 You have come a long way since this challenge began. Excellent job! Quote
Garmadon Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Fantastic work LD, the lighted interior is excellent - the stars are an awesome idea! - and the buildings are incredible as well! The roof on the smaller building is superb, and very nice mosaic on the larger one! I really like the statue and touch of vegetation too: as the others have mentioned, you really have been improving lately! Quote
