Jacob Nion Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) I'm really proud to announce the founding of the Isentooth home for orphaned and wartorn children in Kaliphlin! I felt sorry for the most innocent victims of this bloody war. So I decided to continue my humanitarian mission in Kaliphlin and donate the Isentooth foundation for children and youngsters harmed by war. Edited May 25, 2015 by Jacob Nion Quote
Exetrius Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Great build and a nice scene as well! The tree looks a little bit off to me, though. To many studs on the side compared to the amount of 'leafs' in the tree IMO. Edited May 25, 2015 by Exetrius Quote
Brick Man Studios Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 It's a good Idea ! Pretty nice ! I love the roof ! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Very good MOC. Great idea and very fine execution. Lovely scene. Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 And the rats are going philanthropists on us are they... anyone else see a bit of irony here? First you kill off the parents and then you butter up the kids... yep, the Desert King has quite an agenda! Seriously though, very nice build! It does strike me as a touch strange that the window should be sticking through the roof like that, but no doubt the Desert King ran out of money to waste on such a project and decided to make the roof a little lower than originally planned. The rat reading a book to the kids is a really nice touch! Quote
Garmadon Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Good to see the humanitarian theme continued, Jacob, the building is very nice and the children seem to be pretty happy! The tree could probably use a few more leaves and branches for such a large trunk, but that is only a very minor nitpick Quote
LordDan Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Great build, the orphanage building in particular looks wonderful! Is this against the HC or U? It says U in the title but HC in the Cat C thread Quote
Adair Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Training the children to be good subjects of the Desert King... Great work! Historica must have more rats then I thought... Quote
Blufiji Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Rats can be gentle creatures if you let em lol. Quote
Balbo Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Wow, that's a great entry . I like the texturing of the wall and the roof. Moreover the swing looks nice, too. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Thanks everyone so much. This was some kind of a rushed build, so I'm sorry for blurry pics. Your benevolent actions do you credit sir I have regards for your people! And the rats are going philanthropists on us are they... anyone else see a bit of irony here? First you kill off the parents and then you butter up the kids... yep, the Desert King has quite an agenda! Seriously though, very nice build! It does strike me as a touch strange that the window should be sticking through the roof like that, but no doubt the Desert King ran out of money to waste on such a project and decided to make the roof a little lower than originally planned. The rat reading a book to the kids is a really nice touch! Explanation is simple, see.... Once the war is over, the Desert King has to restore peace and the people of Kaliphlin will be his subjects. But Ulandus is the arch enemy and therefore I have no mercy. But it's nothing personal! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Really cool window design I like the door frame and swing too Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Excellent build, Jacob! The path texturing and olive green roof are great I like that you angled the building too Quote
mrcp6d Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 The tree looks goofy here - especially since, frankly, we know you can do so much better. I completely understand the time constraints though. Explanation is simple, see.... Once the war is over, the Desert King has to restore peace and the people of Kaliphlin will be his subjects. But Ulandus is the arch enemy and therefore I have no mercy. But it's nothing personal! It's also dang near impossible to counter these! Quote
Captain Dee Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 The idea is quite nice - how thoughtful of you - and the scene looks pretty good. The building, base, flowers and children playing all look great. The tree looks odd - but this being a wartime build, let's just assume it was damaged (topped) in the fighting and has just regrown, like old trees in Kansas that have been ripped apart but not uprooted by tornadoes. Dr.Cogg Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Great build, Jacob, this build shows the Desert King's kindness, but also that Nocturian's aren't scary all the time. Quote
