A counter to Garmadon's F1 guerrilla.

As most Historicans know, the Doctors of Historica at the University of Petraea are unrivaled at applying their knowledge to the betterment of Kaliphlin, but they hide perhaps some of their most impressive achievements. One of these are the great sun rays guarding the entrance to the Inland Sea. As a Ulandan privateer found out, there is no "sneaking" through the shelter islands to the Inland Sea. The great sun rays collect the intense Kaliphlin sun through a reflecting dish; then, through a series of lenses provided by the University, turn the sunshine into an intensely destructive ray of light and heat. The privateers' ship never stood a chance--especially since they were trying to sail (unsuccessfully) into the wind with a square-rigged ship!

Garmadon!!!!! I spent probably an hour jacking around with this silly thing--after I built it! Unless you did something I couldn't figure out, nothing of importance is actually stuck to anything. Plus, me in my (clearly) infinite wisdom decided to more or less link the unstable ship to the extremely unstable tower with the death ray! :wall: I can't tell you how many times I knocked something down. Anyway, you can add me to the same list MassEditor is on.

Also, I'd like to claim the microscale credit for UoP.

C&C appreciated.

Thats why I don't like microbuild vehicles and such: it's just WAY to sketchy! Anyway, this is a great tiny scene

Enjoy building and shooting your next microbuild :devil_laugh::tongue:

Next? Ha!

Don't underestimate the power of the sunlight in Kaliphlin!

UoP +1 for microscale.

Thanks Gideon!

Modern technology - cool ... I mean hot!

 Thanks!

 UoP DoH +1

Thanks!

Nice counter mrcp6d! Ha, ha sorry again! I'm really not sure what was so difficult though, it didn't take me nearly as long and was rather stable - the only part that might fall down often was the front sail and clip, but I suppose the flames and ray didn't help! for the approval!

Haha, Garmadon strikes again! Looks like his building tactics are the bane of both DK and HC supporters! I still dream about that frustrating mirror experience. Haven't had much good luck come my way lately either, and I'll place the blame for that squarely in Garmadon's lap. Garmadon, haven't you tortured us long enough?!

Seriously though, a great and clever counter. Excellent description too, the ray seems feasible enough to work in this setting. It's execution, especially the burning ship, is nicely done. A difficult but impressive counter!

This countering business has gotten sophisticated - to the point that they've become almost mirror images of the originals, which is good. The concept is a bit futuristic but it's well built - or at least balanced well enough for a quick photo! I hate to see a good ship burn but I suppose that's all part of the price of war. Next time they'd better try a more favorable wind, huh? Nice work.

:roflmao::laugh_hard: Yes, I'm afraid I'll have to give it up now that Cat.C is over!

Thanks everyone! This was my first micro, and even though I'm still cursing Garmadon a bit during my nightmares, it was pretty fun!
