Kai NRG Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) Unfortunately, this is not quite as good as I had hoped, although some parts did turn out really well I thought, but the fact was it was quite a rushed build! That however is not to blame for the lack of detail on the tan wall. Pure want of pieces must take the blame there! I'm particularly happy with how the white building turned out! Under the leadership of Sir Liddle A. Studd, (or was it Studd A. Liddle? I've forgotten already! ) the townsmen were making a brave stand. Things were looking pretty bad however, until two regiments of Ulandians arrived to save the day! Then things started to look bad for the mummies! A view from the skies! Original Post: Well, I thought (I blame Garmadon for it though ) that this WZ didn't end until the end of this week, so I was taking my own sweet time about it. Thankfully I had started already, but still had nothing but the blue building and the streets and a bit of garden, and none of those were done completely either! Anyways, long story short, it rained all day anyways, so no good pictures until tomorrow, plus hopefully some backstory then too... for now, I'm going to bed! Well, one of these days I will make a truly impressive 48x48... probably when the rest of my collection finally arrives! Until then however, this is probably about as good as it will get, Thanks for looking! Comments welcome as always! Edited June 9, 2015 by Kai NRG Quote
LittleJohn Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Excellent work, Kai! I really like the rounded window and gold roof on the white building Quote
Balbo Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 That's a nice creation I like the colour scheme and the round window. Quote
Adair Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 While the detailing shows your rush, the build still looks quite good, IMO. Great work! Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Thanks Graham, Umbra, LJ, Balbo, and Adair! Better pictures are now up! Quote
Blufiji Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I really am enjoying that floor near the tan building. The texturing all over is nice. Quote
Captain Dee Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 The overall scene is somewhat simple but it still looks pretty good. I like the white building best and the white atop the wall looks really nice. You've certainly managed to use a lot of color and the road is good. But the posing really helps bring it to life. Nice work. Quote
Garmadon Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Nice build Kai, I particularly like the white house, the round windows and curtains are excellent! Great job on the minifig posing as well! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Excellent group of buildings, the white and blue building in particular have some neat designs I like how you included flags as well Quote
