de Gothia Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 de Gothia and Hadi, the man who Sir Gideon had sent to establish Sionnach, were discussing plans of the city in the room of Hadi. He had decorated it so it would be a little like home. Suddenly someone was knocking the oak door. -Enter, said Hadi. In came a messenger from Barqa. -My Lord de Gothia. I bring news from your ally Barqa. The people are starving and we are close to a civil war in Kaliphlin. Sir Gideon ask you to aid him with food and soldiers. - How much food and how many men are we talking about? de Gothia replied. -Everthing you can spare... -Benoic will answer our mighty ally in the south. We march as soon as possibly! A week later de Gothia and his army were on their way. When they reached Barqa they started to hand out the food to the starving citizens. de Gothia and Gideon discussed the situation... The soldiers of Benoic helped out in every possibly way to aid Sir Gideon, guarding, examination, suprise attacks, taking prisoners and fighting. They fought for months, side by side, striving for the cause of Barqa and the High Council. Puh! Thought I never could make it! But here they are. The mocsI´ve been working on now. The cat C was fun but to much stress for me so I builded my own mocs.. C&C as always most welcome! I´m not really a storyteller as you can see! Quote
LittleJohn Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 An outstanding group of builds! I love the fifth build; the house layout is fantastic Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Wow, great sequence of builds de Gothia! The story may be short but it's effective. I really like the variety of builds you've made here--each one is unique, and they all look great! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 A fantastic sequence of builds! Awesome! Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Wow, you really went all out for this one! I'm trying to see if I can pull it off too... three days left and three categories to go... They all look really great, the first interior is excellent, and the caravan guarding scene is too! The examination of the desert king's noblemen also looks fantastic - love that house! And the fight with the DK soldiers is great, excellent rockwork! Quote
Balbo Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Stunning work I love all the different creations you made. All the techniques you used are great and I like all the different minifigures. Quote
TitusV Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Maybe you are.'t a great storyteller, but you're defenitely a great builder! I really love the builds, all of them! Quote
Adair Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Lovely work, De-Gothia! Those builds are great! Quote
mrcp6d Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Wow, where have you been DG? The "examination" build is particularly well done, but these are all solid MOCs. For the Republic! Quote
Blufiji Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 An excellent series of builds no doubt! My favorite one is "The Examination of the Desert Kings". It's just so gorgeous. Quote
Full Plate Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Awesome collection, de Gothia! And the parade is a great capstone to the series! Really great work Quote
Bregir Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 As always a pleasure to see your builds, dG! Overall great quality! If yuo are weary of sandy builds, it doesn't show in your output! For the Republic! Quote
de Gothia Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Wow, thanks for all the kind comments! I really enjoyed making these mocs! But now I´m, looking forward to some Avalonian mocs! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Sweet group of builds! I like the wooden pillars in the first MOC, and you made good use of that shade of blue in the "Feeding the Hungry" build. The caravan is a fun little build, neat barrel design Great house layout in "Examination", with the arbor being a nice detail. Excellent rockwork and barricade in the attack on the desert king too Quote
Gideon Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Wow! This is way more support to the just cause than I could ever have hoped for! Some excellent builds and the way it all ties together makes the sum even greater than its parts. My favorite build of these is probably "Examination of Desert Kings Noblemen" because it is so well composed both in terms of features and colors. Quote
Captain Dee Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 This collection of fine builds tells a pretty good story on its own. The setting for the opening scene looks beautiful with the red and gold accenting the browns and grey. It's an inviting interior. The marching scene is incredibly detailed and looks great in that scale. About the only way to improve it would be to place everything on an irregular base. The caravan is one of the better one's I've seen in that scale and the examination scene has a very good set of buildings to go with it. The sideways rocks in the attack scene are lovely. And of course the parade is brilliant but I've commented on it elsewhere. Excellent work as usual de Gothia! Quote
MassEditor Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Superb entry for Cat. B, definitely one of the finest for Ch. IV! Am I right to assume that the vast majority of these builds are shared for the first time in this thread? I know the Petraea, Arkbri and parade scenes have been posted already, but these others are new to me. In any case, this is a fantastic collection of builds. I love the Barqa scenes and how you faithfully stuck to Gideon's design. The first, interior build is quite elegant, and each following build really helps to build a story (in fact, they told the story for you!). The rockwork and action posing on the "Attacking the Desert King" MOC is very nice as well. In any case, glad to see you found some time for Challenge B, your entry was well worth the effort! Quote
Simon_S Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I somehow missed many of those. It's a wonderful collection of builds. I especially like the house with the half sw planet as roof and the one next to it looks also nice with the balcony. Great job, keep it up! Quote
Jakorin Swiftsword Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Excellent presentation, good sir! And a lovely stream of great builds! Quote
