Posted September 2, 200717 yr I wanted to share some of the "Behind the Scene" shots of Mystery Ship and the sets. The Sea Ghost before departure: A few of the crew on the pier: Jim Doohan tending to one of the life boats. Perhaps this is why the engine room is being neglected. :-D Stinky Stillman doing a little fishing: Manny and others tending to the cargo: Dock 13: The Steering Room: Another shot of the Sea Ghost next to a small fishing boat: You've got to love the old Diver sets. What a great little ship: Share your signature images and others mystery images here. *y*
September 2, 200717 yr A lot of great work there. The glass over blue fabric water effect is very nice. I especially like the boats and that taxi in the first shot. Simple and effective. Only thing that stands out as odd is the one fleshie. Is that intentionally meant to represent something? Mystery Ship On! *y*
September 2, 200717 yr Author Only thing that stands out as odd is the one fleshie. Is that intentionally meant to represent something? Interesting that you noticed him. Keen observation. Perhaps later, his mystery will be revealed.
September 2, 200717 yr I can't see any of the pictures, could you put them on somthing like brickshelf please?
September 2, 200717 yr Thanks for those pictures Mr Brickster! Perhaps I'll buy this set. I really love the scene you made, especially the part where Stillman's fishing. And that dock, isn't that a Spiderman set? If it is, you made great use of it! I can't see any of the pictures, could you put them on somthing like brickshelf please? I believe it is brickshelf (and Maj.com) wich aren't working!! :-D They were down for me yesterday and this morning. They are up again now. Mr Tiber
September 2, 200717 yr Thanks for those pictures Mr Brickster! Perhaps I'll buy this set. I reccomend it. It is a great set. *wub*
September 2, 200717 yr Arr, where be me trusty peg-leg, I meant, hey, where is my peg-leg? X-D *wub* *y* Edit; oh, and ders me there's my signature. V V Edited September 2, 200717 yr by oo7
September 2, 200717 yr I like the way you made the dock. And the lantern is a nice touch. Thank you. The dock is part of my Colonial British Harbor; I just came up with the lantern design yesterday. I need to use it again somewhere, I quite like it.
September 2, 200717 yr Author Nice harbor. What is the pieces attached to the lantern? It almost likes like a rope.
September 2, 200717 yr Nice harbor. What is the pieces attached to the lantern? It almost likes like a rope. Thanks, I used this piece. I was wondering whether you could tell what it was from the picture......I guess not..... ;-)
September 2, 200717 yr Author This didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to, but here's a shot of the galley:
September 2, 200717 yr I reccomend it. It is a great set. *wub* Second that, a lovely set *wub* ..and I really should finish doing an inventory of it for bricklink. Not tonight though, soon time for bed. And oo7, that's a very nice design for that lantern *wub*
September 3, 200717 yr Thanks, I used this piece. I was wondering whether you could tell what it was from the picture......I guess not..... ;-) I could tell what it ws from the picture. That's pretty clever. Will a round 1x1 plate fit on the bottom as a lantern base?
September 3, 200717 yr This didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to, but here's a shot of the galley: How did you desire your galley to look, Mr. Brickster? I think the decors is great, I especially like the fishing net and that neat chandelier design. No complaints here! And oo7, that's a very nice design for that lantern *wub* Cool, I'm really glad you like it! I could tell what it ws from the picture. That's pretty clever. Will a round 1x1 plate fit on the bottom as a lantern base? Great! Yes, it will fit, but the lantern doesn't need to be and longer than it already is, so I left it off. Thanks! September 3, 200717 yr Author In regard to the galley, I was looking for a lot of nautical collectibles - like you might find in a seafood restaurant. It needs to be more "cluttered". EDIT: Oh, and here's a few very special images of my old office where I use to write my mysteries: (these are really "behind the scenes")
September 8, 200717 yr I wonder, the hull of the cargo ship itself, what set does it come from? :-) I like it a lot.
September 8, 200717 yr I wonder, the hull of the cargo ship itself, what set does it come from? :-) I like it a lot. Well, the cargo ship IS a set :-D 7994: LEGO City Harbour
September 8, 200717 yr Oh, it looks so beautiful, must have it!!!How much does it cost? :-/ I believe something around EUR 80 in toy stores. On S@H it costs EUR 79.99
September 8, 200717 yr Author Ouch that's expensive, especially since I just want the ship :-( :-( This is one of my favorite 2007 sets. The set is worth the cost. The dock, crane, and truck are really "top notch". I definately give it *y* *y* up!
September 8, 200717 yr Mmmmh, I'm still hesitating... I've seen the ship on a shelf and that hull reminds me of M&*(A)Blocks, because it looks like it's only one part. But if it's really worth buying, perhaps I'll change my mind and buy it after all.
