robuko Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) E11, Exploration So there I was, back on some rocky asteroid in the MT-6980, listening to some far out heavy beats, watching out for sinkholes and following the sensors to a very promising deposit of Awesomnium. I crested the ridge of the crater and then it all happened at once. I couldn't believe my eyes. A big old vein of Awesomnium, sure enough, but what was more incredible was suddenly seeing a whole bunch of new fangled Kawashita tech. I must have stumbled on some secret testing facility. There were 2 of those new aster class stealth fighters, the ones that are just carved straight out of the asteroid rock so they don't show up on scanners. And some kind of hillbilly loon buggy, it was pretty neat looking and super lightweight, must have been feeling the need for speed in that one. Yeah, that tech was cool. But the really freaked out thing was, who was driving this stuff. It sure wasn't Kawashita regulars, I know that. Folk with green heads. Guys in Octan gear!. There was even a K-borg with an Octan logo doing some kind of repairing on that buggy. I didn't know what was going on, well above my pay grade anyway. So I radioed in that big old deposit, sat back, and sparked up a fat one. Peace out. Edited July 5, 2015 by robuko Quote

Mike S Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I really like the direction you are going with for your AG builds. Definitely fresh and unique! And that is some awesome piece usage on the buggy.... Quote
Commander Turtle Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Nice job on their rover for sure. I like the other stuff but it would be nice to get a closer look - perhaps you could put some photos in spoiler tags when you've got several things going on? Anyway, good work all around. Quote
mccoyed Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I love all the uniqueness in your KG builds, Robuko. Sometimes I feel like your sigfig is off on his own doing all this long range exploring with very old technology and one day he's going to come back to headquarters and freak out over all the new gizmos. :D What I like so much about this is that your builds alone out of all of AG have that old school 50's science fiction novel feel, with the outrageous titles and cover art. Blackhawk STX Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Great mini-fighters! Love the old base plates, too... Quote
LittleJohn Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Excellent vehicles, robuko! Great use of those base plates too Quote
gurusql Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Great job on all the vehicles - a very nice look for each. Quote
aeralure Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Like the mini fighters! And wow those base plates bring back memories. Quote
pombe Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 You have the most wonderful and unique aesthetic when it comes to building with LEGOs. Every single one of the vehicles you present here are spectacularly built, yet unconventional, and clearly marked with your signature style. Quote
Lady K Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Nice use of classic space mixed with the more modern. I really like both vehicles here, especially the space buggy, nice details! Quote
robuko Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Thanks everyone for your kind comments. My sigfig works in a kind of classic space meets ninjago meets Flash Gordon continuum. Sometimes these inexplicable fragments of modernity show through, but he swears by the good old ways. Quote
Big Sal Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 You have such a distinctive style robuko, and I love it! Quote
