AG: MANTIS LD HQ by David FNJ, on Flickr

Double D's log 7:

After a successful mission that planted MANTIS™ MTD© devices in Octan water extraction plants, I headed to a newly-built HQ where I would be able to send out an encrypted key that would give us the locations of the MTD© devices so that we can quickly locate Octan's facilities and carry out other necessary missions.

After sending the correct encrypted signal from the computer, the MTD© devices popped up on MANTIS™ servers for only half a second before they disappeared (of course the locations were saved). After several hours of analyzing the data and other maps, we found out Octan likely had several extraction facilities that were concentrated around larger volcanos and exporting stations nearby.

What was also interesting were "paths" that seemed to form river-like structures. Eventually it was confirmed that these paths were indeed rivers that ran underground. What was even more interesting was that it seemed that Octan was unaware of this river system. After a bit of debriefing, I and another Special Forces operative were ready for our next mission. Now that Octan has its entire water extraction program mapped, all that is needed is....oh wait, someone might be reading this.

18830628083_1ca930e25a_t.jpgYes, we suspected that there would be an underwater river system, and this data from the MTD© devices that got carried away by the currents confirms it. Thankfully MANTIS™ built this HQ overtop of the suspected river system - now we can access almost any Octan water extraction facility we want.

19455509531_5b83865e70_t.jpgYup, and we are now installing security systems that will be better than Octan's systems.

More pictures of the HQ (with the working cranes that open up the floor) and the ground underneath it in the spoiler.

I was really happy with these windows!

Opening the floor is actually a two-step process. The cranes first move up, and then they tilt backwards.

I always wanted to do a rock cave underneath a building, and here is my first attempt! I started out with the opening floor which was a lot of fun to make.

Hope you enjoy!

Amazing HQ and underground part. Very impressive scale here. Also love the presentation of the dialogue between the two MANTIS spies.

Also, your guys' recruitment poster (SpacerSteve's signature) is hilarious.

I always enjoy seeing working features and the opening floor is a great one  Sweet detailing in the HQ, I like the strip of lime green with torch holders and lime studs :classic:

Well done on both the HQ and the rock cave! The detail in the HQ is great with the opening floor and the design of the machines used to lift the panels. :sweet:

Wow, that's fantastic

I love the rockwork and base itself. The colour scheme is perfect (nice idea using the lime green) and I like the opening doors
