halixon Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) The Capital of Albion is packed full of many things to encounter. There are shops, bakeries, houses, and libraries. Here is one example of a Library in Albion: And Here's some rambling Fellows: And an elf librarian coming to quiet them down. He looks rather upset. And a knowledge seeker, seeking knowledge. Here's the build, Figless, a bit blurry: A closer look at some of the props: And my first door technique: So yeah, any constructive comments are appreciated. Thanks all, ;) ~Windusky Edited July 20, 2015 by Windusky Quote
mediumsnowman Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Very nice scene! I think tiling the floor and adding a few more bookcases could really improve it though. Quote
Exetrius Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 That bookshelf really has a great level of detail, especially comepared to the rest of the build. I would have compressed the scene to make the build as a whole more detailed. Like mediumsnowman, I'd like to advise to tile the floor and greeble the wall some more. Happy building Quote
TitusV Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Good build, but for a Library in our glorious capital (probably the wisest city after petraea), shouldn't it contain a bit more books? But i like the rest, and the Library of Dronskeep is going to get an elven librarian, thanks for the idea Quote
ZCerberus Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 The photos are also a bit on the large side- could you scale them down please? Quote
Blufiji Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 The book shelf is nice indeed, however the floor would be a but better if it were tiled or snotted. Nice work! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Nice bookshelf! I agree about the floor though. Quote
halixon Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 The photos are also a bit on the large side- could you scale them down please? Yeah, i know what you mean. Usually my pics don't come out like that. I'm not sure why they did here. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Cool figs, and I like how you used both light and dark bley for the walls A few more bookshelves, or tables with scrolls would add to the library atmosphere Quote
cablefoxley Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Not a bad library, but more books would make it better. Also a little more colour on the wall's like tapestries would work well in a large room. But im really liking the bookcase, its got great detail. Quote
