Hey!

I'm happy to present you my next build! During my militairy service I didn't have much time to build, but on some weekends I had some free time and as you could expect, it was well spent . Last weekend I had 4 days off service, so I finally could finish it and take some "good" pictures.

Forechester Castle

You can see more photos of other angles (it's 360° viewable) and details in my Flickr Photostream.

I hope you like it!

30 Days to Freedom... :cannon::classic:

Greetings

Such a lovely castle! Good greebling on the walls, that balcony scene is nice too. Also great job on the vegetation and rockwork. If there were to be something to improve, it would be the water I guess. Great build :classic::thumbup:

Wonderful castle Simon, superb incorporation of those pre-molded castle pieces! Lovely colors on this, the overgrown vegetation looks fantastic! Can't wait until you can be around more often again! :excited::sweet:

Fantastic castle, I really like how seamlessly you incorporated those large castle pieces. Also, as I said on Flickr, the green and tan works wonderfully, certainly a combination I never would have thought up!

Beautiful work! Lovely landscaping and castle, I particularly like how the vegetation has grown around its walls. The castle design is really cool, especially with the angled walls and the tan/green sections of the towers. Hope to see you around more!

Spectacular castle! I love the simple design that's not overblown (as castles sometimes can be), and the foliage as everyone else has said looks perfect. What I really think is great about this though, is the fact that no matter the angle of the shot, it feels like you're looking at the best side of the castle--all sides look equally interesting and feel like the best part. Great job!

Good to see you are back to build once again! What a wonderfull castle, i love the angled walls and the weathered look of the top floors of the towers. Outstanding work!

This looks great!ive been wanting to build a similar style castle as we'll and have been slowly accumulating parts for it, but have no idea when I might try it. Looking forward to when you're finished with your service and can return full time!

I think Captain Nemo said it perfectly - All perspectives look like the best perspective. There are details to appreciate everywhere, and something going on so many different places.

Only thing I am missing is a bit of a story - how does it fit into Historica.

Can't wait to have you back for good!

Thank you Exetrius. I changed the water around three times (first with different shades of blue, then with tan near the rocks + different blues, all white) and I'm still not very happy with it. I went for the all white version, mostly to save pieces for the future. The thing I liked about it was that there was another bright colour in there which went well together with the green.

Nice build Simon. GoH rules!

Thanks Z! It feels so good to be more around here :classic:

Thank you. I'm happy you like them as it was quite a pain to make them look (more or less ) good. Only 29 days left :classic:

Thanks mate. After I finished the stonework I knew that there wasn't much innovative (special angles, techniques, etc) in this build, so I threw in some green and I think it worked out well.

This makes me want to build some castle of my own...

Truly, an inspiring build.

Thanks a lot... Go for it! My first castle was very small, didn't have any other angles than 90°, but it was a beginning. So don't procrastinate it and start building !

Thanks for this kind comment ME. Now that I found out that they have the same Wi-Fi password in all barracks in Switzerland, I will be around more often

Btw. Your isle build was absolutely fantastic! Very inspiring .

Thank you Captain! The last castle I built was quite different... with interiors on the backside and so on. I mainly built this to bring it to a convention, so I wanted it to have 360° viewable this time.

Beautiful MOC! Great job!

Thank you :classic:

Thanks Jorrith

What a beauty!

Thank you Graham!

Thanks Milo! As I said above, just start building and have fun. The rest will come automatically.

Absolutely stunning. Everything is bright, vibrant and alive and green, true to the Avalonian theme.

Thank you. And you're so right, that's exactly why I love Mitgardia Avalonia

Thank you Bregir. I'm not that much into story writing (especially when it comes to finishing one I started long time ago ), maybe I will put something together when I have done a few more builds, but for now, that's all you get .

Awesome build!

Thanks LV!

ROFWE = rolling on the floor with envy - this is so fantastic.

It is one of the "I wish I had build this" castles!

Thank you :classic:

It's really nice - I love every little detail on it, from angled wall section to the flora growing around the outsides to the "metal" hinges on the doors to the stained glass looks....

Just an incredible work of art.
