Skier1215 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) We all know that LEGO will not release many of our favorite movie or television characters. Here is thr place to show off your purist figures! Rules (I know, bad word, but must be done): 1. Absolutely must be purist. That means no 3rd party brands, knockoffs, or any custom printing. These must be made from existing LEGO parts. 2. No Star Wars, Marvel, or DC characters. There are separate forums for those. 3. Keep the profanity to a minimum. We have people of all ages here. No hard cursing. Otherwise, let's do this! Edited August 20, 2015 by Skier1215 Quote
IronFish Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) http://i.imgur.com/QeAbNSo.jpg my WIP Rick Grimes from TWD. I'm happy with the head, but it clashes with the torso, too much dark brown. Any suggestions for a better one? Edited August 20, 2015 by LuxorV Image too big. Quote

IronFish Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 (edited) Doctor Who! Doo-Wee-OOOH! War Doctor, Eighth Doctor, and Ninth Doctor *pic* Twelfth Doctor, Eleventh Doctor, Tenth Doctor *pic* I made my Ten minifig in a very similar way, but instead of generic smerk head, I used a Marty McFly head. I'd post a picture, but the figure is currently missing for the glasses face, I think a Leonard Hofstadter head would also work quite well for Ten with glasses. TheBigRedCheese Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 (edited) I have a bunch of figures that I've made that fall under this category, so I think I'll share them. Images seem to be busted, so I'll link to my Flickr. Notes: Seeing as I photographed these for my Flickr account, and my Flickr followers don't care about third party gear, knockoffs, modifications, etcetera, some of these photos might contain those, but I'm sure we can just ignore those and weed out the purism in these, right? Some images contain more than the named figure. The figure that is named is the one that pertains to the category. I'm including a picture regarding a character in a original Netflix series, which I'm counting as falling under TV. *The photo marked with asterisks also contains "classic" versions of characters from Sherlock Holmes. I've never seen nor heard of a Sherlock Holmes TV/movie adaptation that was as faithful to the source material as I tried to be with the figs, but if there is one that I don't know about, you can consider them as falling under it.* Terminator (The Terminator [1984]): https://www.flickr.c...hotolist-pMtEoL Pietro Doe [Puppet Master] (Scooby Doo): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Henry Bascombe [Space Kook] (Scooby Doo): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Hank Doe [Miner Forty-Niner] (Scooby Doo): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Mavis Dracula (Hotel Translyvania): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Oliver Queen (Arrow) https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Felicity Smoak (Arrow): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Clara Oswald (Dr. Who): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Ten, Amy, and Eleven (Dr. Who): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ W.I.P. (I always pronounce Clara in my head with a British accent) IronFish, sorry I missed your post! As for which head I used, it was an oldie but a goodie. It's from the blonde mermaid in the POTC Whitecap Bay set. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3626bpb0570#T=S&O={"ii":1} (I too, pronounce Clara in my head with a British accent! ) Here is my 11th Doctor and his wife River Song That River is brilliant! :D As is that 11th Doctor! The Tenth Doctor, complete with preserved hand The Eleventh Doctor, as he appears in the anniversary special and his final episode when he switched from the tweed jacket to a waistcoat and longer coat. The lost War Doctor from the anniversary special, carrying the bag containing the 'Moment' And The Doctor's arch enemy, The Master, who as a fellow Time Lord can also regenerate... The Master AKA Professor Yana The Master AKA Harold Saxon Comments and Critique welcome, hopefully I'll be posting some more soon! Quote

comix Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Pietro Doe [Puppet Master] (Scooby Doo): https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Does anybody know what head that is? I'm trying to cobble together my own Scooby-Doo villains for the new sets. The parts for Captain Cutler and the Space Kook are already on their way. And I'm very close to a Miner Forty-Niner and Charlie the Robot. And I could actually almost put the Puppetmaster together with the few old figures I do have if I could just figure out where that head came from. The torso is obviously a Jedi Knight Luke, so I've got that much covered. Edited September 21, 2015 by comix Quote
