Jurss Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 As i had 42038, it's time for my first tracked MOC. First motor setup. I have only pair of M motors, other are single. Quote
JJ2 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Nice job for your first tracked vehicle, I like the way you did the suspension good job Quote
syclone Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 As said JJ2 nice suspension setup. And nice use of the portal axles Maybe a double decked couch on top? Quote
Jurss Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Thank You! No i have time to continue. ... then i decided to put motors inside mainframe. First i had to rebuild suspension for two small wheels - move somewhere else two shock absorbers. Now they are "inside" tracks Two 2x4 L shaped beams are to keep together gears. First version dind't kept load, and motors frame was poping out. And then i created some body - it was really hardest and longest part for me. Battery pack is on back as on some old tracked tractors (i don't know about new). It is also easy to remove it, to replace batterys. Engine is not connected to motors (just now came idea to connect to some front wheel) I thought about buldozer, but small LA are to short, 10-15M too long. Quote
syclone Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Good body, really like it!Now built a brick-built seat on top of the receiver and a new model is born! Quote
MacKaiwer Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Nice job I like very much that suspension, and transmission is so clever, simple and effective, just genius And that body looks cool too Quote
Jurss Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 Connected motor (turned out pretty easy) I used stried Volvo motor, which wasn't disasabmled, just removed 2 cyliders, and original gear was allready in right place Correct way would be connect bouth tracks trough differntial. If i won't be lazy, maybe tomarrow. Quote
Technic Jim Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Looking good, please keep on posting your progress Quote
A Gallifreyan Cat Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Looks really good. You have inspired me to build something tracked. Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Small and clever, i like this MOC. And using IR reciever as chair is fun, wires can be used as safety belt) Quote
