Darn this is going to be hard to choose!

It's a tie between your's and Alex's, Hinckley.

Hmm, lighthouse vs brewery, lighthouse vs brewery...

Over my shoulder I hear my father yelling "Brewery! Brewery! Brewery, gawd damnit!" :-P

It was either the American Restaurant or the Brewery for me, but sorry Gylman, the brewery won out by a nudge.

Great entries everyone, definitely the hardest poll I've ever had to do they were so good! :-)

Batbrick Away! >:-)

I voted for Gylman. I would rant about how good I think it is but I would just be repeating myself! :-D The fact that he was forced to pull pieces off a Black Cat Truck to finish it makes it even better. 8-

In the end it was between Hinckley, Barbossa, and Legocastlegirl, but I chose Barbossa because it gives me such wonderful memories of Italy! It looks like something that could exist in Rome :-D

Gylman's diner all the way absolutly amazing! :-D though Landlubbers transporter is also a thing of beauty! he gets second place! ;-) well done to everyone who entered! *y*

After much deliberation, I voted for gylman. It truly is a thing of pure beauty *wub* *wub* *wub*

I was really stuck between gyl, Barbossa and Alex, either of which could truly be a LEGO set and I would buy in a second. They are two very lovely entries. Barbossa, all the detail is so amazing, I especially love all the thought you put into the interior. Alex, a classic entry as always and you do that style with such grace! Very nice, indeed!

All of the entries were awesome and it was hard even to narrow it down to those three! Great job everybody! *sweet* *y*

Fantastic entries everybody!!

Such a tough choice.... I ultimately voted for Gylman's Diner.

If I had had the time I would have entered myself, but I would have had trouble competing with all those great creations for sure.

A vote cast for Barbossa *y* It's just so professional looking that I'd like it in my own layout. If anything was lacking it was the interior, but I'm not really much for interior. It isn't like I'd play with it, I'd display it, and it has such a strong presence and classical style.

I love the effort put into all of them and must admit it was a very close vote.

A great showing by everyone *y* and thanks to Hinckley for hosting the contest! :-)

Thanks for everyone who voted and took the time to look at these. The contest is far from over, but I just wanted to thank those who participated. The entries really are great, and original, and seeing what people came up with really inspired me to try harder than I might have.

The original version of the diner did not have a roof, but then Hinckie's masterpiece came along, and my wife looked at his brewery and said it was way better than mine, and that I had to put a roof on and do better...

And biggest thanks to Hinckie for putting this on and keeping the energy level up.

Soon! Very soon. But, I'd like to change the paramaters of course! We'll see what my evil little mind cooks up...

I reckon the next 1 needs a limited scope of parts. It's easy to do a winning design when you've got rooms full of bricks, LDD and a bricklink feedback of 500+. I've noticed the same few people are usually at the top, give some of the underlings a chance. limit it so that the builder nominates 3 sets that he/she will be using for parts for their entry. Then the winner gets chosen on who has the most creativity and ingenuity, not who has the most bricks and money.

PS. I voted for the Diner, even though its way too over the top to be classed as a "set idea". The lighthouse is probably the winner in terms of which would make the best official set.
