TASK 6 - TRADES OF HISTORICA

Merchants ply their wares throughout Historica, bringing Avalonian wines to Nocturnus and Kaliphlin spices to Mitgardia. But some brewers are renowned for their finest stouts or lagers, certain Kalihplin oil magnates that are known to provide reliable cheap lamp oil, there are prized meats that can only be purchased from specific breeders. These are the goods that are known throughout Historica by name. What are these goods, and who provides them?

For the sixth task, you need to establish a brand of trade. This "brand" could be the maker/sewer/brewer/carver/grower of goods, it could be a specific region (this should be very specific to a location or small region, not "Nocturnus Cake" or even "Mystic Isles Pizza") or it could be more of a large trade conglomerate that provides a multitude of goods, or has stores throughout Historica. Some of these "brands" are already established in previous MOCs or posts, and some have not yet been established.

To establish your trade, you must post MOCs depicting this trade in action. These MOCs CAN be already completed, but they MUST have referenced the trade BY NAME at the time. (Their are very few of these to my knowledge). (if you try to alter a description of an existing MOC to fit this challenge, you will not be allowed to enter ANY trades, so do not edit topics you already posted. you can add a post later on in your topic, but if I see that the topic was already posted before Aug 27th, but edited after Aug 28th, it will not be allowed as part of this challenge.)

This Task is a bit different than previous tasks, in that the most popular entries will become the most renowned (This may come in to play in a later task/Challenge)

Some general guidelines and considerations

- You can enter as many MOCs for a Trade as you want, but there should be one overall topic for that Trade, which then shows all of the related MOCs (or at lest links to them.

- Your trade topic should be titled "TRADE - XXXXXXXXXXX" (ex: TRADE - Valyrian Sea bubbles)

- You may want to consider aspects of your trade outside the builds (Logo, Jingle, inegration of celebrities, etc.)

- Trades are organized by Type. Examples of types would be beverages, breads and pastries, Sewing and weaving, etc. but it will depend somewhat on the trades that are entered. (I will be determining the final categories for voting).

- You may be in direct competition with other Trades (If there are 3 breweries entered, only 1 will be the best, and people may only be able to vote for 1 trade in the beverage category)

- Trades are less competetive when they are not nearby (A brewer in Avalonia does not have a lot of competirion with a brewer in Nocturnus, although there is some.)

- Trades with very little market, or little influence will have less weight overall, so while it may be nice to have no competition with your Queens Crossing Crocodile Tooth Magnets, if nobody wants them anyways, it doesn't matter. This will also help with categories that may have a lot of favorites, such as ales or ships, where tastes and needs may vary. (Again, I will be determining weight of a Trade, if necessary)

- You can have more than one Trade if you wish.

For this task, there is no time limit, and again, it is open to all Historicans. There may be voting done though at the end of the year, based off the entries to that point.

You should only have one post in this thread per Trade. Feel free to ask questions, but I will delete them once they have been answered, and compile the answers in the thread below. You cannot post for a trade without an initial build

(I will delete any topics that do not contain a link to an existing MOC (no MOCs in progress allowed either))

Let me know if you have any questions. This is a work in progress, so it will evolve as we go forward.

BTW - feel free to post general comments under here for the first week or so, at which point I will delete them.

I forgot to ask: is there a gain for completing this task?

The same for all the Avalonian tasks - recognition. No prizes. The intent of the tasks is to flesh out your realms.

TRADE-Drondil's horses

Next to the city of Drondil, at the eastern side of the river, one can find the famous breeders of the even more famous Drond's stocks.

The stables exist of four complexes, each with it's own kind of horses. The first, and most important of them, trains horses exclusively for the Dragon Flight, the Avalonian elite cavalrymen. These horses are renowned troughout Avalonia and the whole of Historica for their agility, strength and speed.

The second complex trains horses for the Avalonian nobles and wealthier merchant classes. These horses aren't breeded for their ability in battle, but for their grace and beautifullness.

The third one trains horses for whoever wants to buy them, and has enough money to afford them. These horses need to have a bit of strength, in case they're bought by a mercenary captain or non-Avalonian soldiers, but also a bit of grace, for they who want to boast that they posses a beast of real Drond's bloodline.

The last one trains a separate stock of working horses, who are used to improve the harvest of Drond's Feelds, and get that harvest to it's capital, Drondil.

The stables of the second and smallest complex.

So it's possible to refer to older builds with an already established trade, but encouraged to make new ones showing more of the trade?
