LEGO_Knight12 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Hi Not sure if this was posted before but here is quite and interesting story using the old LEGO Pirate sets. Enjoy! Quote
Darkstone Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Thanks for sharing, I kind of remember the advert from when I was a kid! Quote
Artizan Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 It is interesting to see that some lego elements are cut in a non-purist way(1x4 antenna cut to look like spyglass, goblet cut to look like bugle) in official commercials. Quote
Captain Dee Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 This was a really good commercial that was perhaps the best at promoting the theme. But the lack of certain useful elements, like the newer spyglass, really gives it an aged feel. Still, these are the classics, and they've aged well! Quote
Captain Fortune Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) Absolutely agree with the comments above. Edited September 27, 2015 by Captain Fortune Quote
Capn Frank Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I added this video to the Index of Pirate Lego Films. Thanks for sharing. Brings back wonderful childhood memories. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I've never seen this before - great! Quote
CaptainJackBrickster Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I love this commerciali have never watched it prior to this post but now that you have showed me I really love it. The stop-motion is great for the 80's or whenever this was shown. Overall it brings back great vibes from the classic pirates. Sadly i do not own any of these sets. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 These are great. Ive never seen them either. Wish i had some pirates sets as well. Its probably the only theme along with vikings that i dont have any of. Thanks for sharing . Quote
Admiral Admirable Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Wow. Lovely commercial. Lego really did a good job animating this! Quote
berninhr Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Thanks for shearing this I had not seen it before Quote
Dreamweb Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I remember that first commercial, it was shown in Poland back in the day, I even recorded it on my VCR once. As for the second movie, the story, I've never seen it before. It was fun to watch. Notice that the Black Seas Barracuda / Dark Shark (it was also called Dark Shark where I live) has the ship's bell in that movie. Quote
