Thorindw Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) The rays of the rising sun illuminated the dirty wall squeezing through the bars. Billy felt the salty flavour of the sea and listened to the distant squeaks of the seagulls in the port. There, for a second day now, the grinning head of the Fat Joe was swinging on the yard. He was lucky – he died in battle when their ship was taken in abordage. His brave shipmates, though, weren’t that lucky. Today, at dawn, they were going to be hanged at the approving clamour of the crowd. Edited October 24, 2015 by Phred Quote
JopieK Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Great little MOC! Fortunately for the unlucky pirate there doesn't seem to be a trap door in the scaffold ;) Quote
Staslegomaster Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 A nice story about a date with Madam Gallows... Quote
BrickOn Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Nice neat scene! I like the rat in the sewer :-) Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Very fine creation - poor pirate... Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Small and elegant! Very aesthetically pleasing with the diversity of colours and texture you threw on the roof and wall of the building! The gallows are nice too! Love the arms of the doomed pirate sticking through the bars! Quite forboding! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Captain Dee Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 This is a classic idea and the color combination is excellent. I like that roof technique and the gallows design is really smooth and clean. Overall this makes good use of the size restriction but I'd like to see it built bigger as well. Good work - and good riddance to those filthy sea rats. Quote
