I like the rooftop detail changes.

Btw, is your v-wing mod experiencing any prying or separation over time? While modding mine I noticed that the weight of the wings will slowly spread the upper and lower fuselage halves apart unless you direct the stress another way.

Similar to your version, I also left the bottom wing flaps attached and angled them outward - I like that way that looks.

Yeah the force generated is relatively large (compared with the average brick's clutch power). I rebuilt the back and interconnected the technics bricks to make it quite solid. The only stability issue remaining was the fact the the hinges would move about a bit on their axels.

Oh ya, that'll hold it! The 'carry-through spar' method is pretty much what I had to do in order to solve this issue to my satisfaction.

billyamy if you're experiencing this, there's the fix

I have no problem of the wing stability.

1) add support at the bottom,, add some plate to support the red brick .

2) reinforce the support from the upper layer

3) use some long axle to hole all the parts together.

But I am worry about the 2 lollipop joint may not strong enough.

Yes, when the wing open, the lower part of the wing just touch the shuttle body, it can share some force

Maybe I will take more photo late

I like the MOD, but, my question is how well does 2 hinges hold the wings? I want to display it in this position. Should I use 3 or 4 per wing?

Thanks, Jamie

I try to take more pics .

1) I shift the lower level's red technic brick out to hold the hinges, and I also do some support under it.

2) again, do some support from the upper level

3)except the orginal light brown axle in the front, I also use 3 long axle to lock all the things together.

4) when the wing open, the black circle parts will go very very very close to the other side's dark grey parts. It can also provide a supporting force

5) I also mod the lower part of the wing, it can let the shuttle stand in v shape.
