Posted December 2, 20159 yr I have the bones of my TC9, A SUV, trailer and compact sports plane with folding wings. It is 69 long, 11 wide and 13 high or 9867cs. I have no idea what the B model will be. Edited January 7, 20169 yr by JamesJT
December 2, 20159 yr Interesting idea. I like mechanism for unfolding wings - it's simple and works well.
December 2, 20159 yr The wing function is pretty cool. I think the B model part of the contest will be difficult for many of the participants.
December 3, 20159 yr Nice idea with those folding wings. Very original and still simple in the best sense of the word.
December 4, 20159 yr I tried to build a proper SUV but this looked more fun... Hmmm, looks interesting! I really liked your past entries for contests, so I'm excited!
December 5, 20159 yr The car looks good, even if it reminds me of the fugly BMW X6... my thoughts exactly but cool moc nonetheless.Keep up the good work JamesJT. Edited December 5, 20159 yr by Siegfried Meyer
December 5, 20159 yr Author This is a very nice, can I say, concept car? This is the "concept" version. The style and colours are not fixed yet. Like the sports car, don't like the plane. ...but the plane is not fiinshed yet. It has all the bodywork, canopy, seats and 2 more "tricks" up it sleeve still to be done.
December 6, 20159 yr Author I've got it looking much more grown up and looking more like an SUV. HOG steering is the only function so far.
December 14, 20159 yr Author The plane and trailer are nearly done. I changed the colours as I may try a fire truck for the B model. Edited January 27, 20169 yr by JamesJT
December 15, 20159 yr Author The plane has folding wings, retractable landing wheels and a ratchet (human power functions) to spin the prop.
December 15, 20159 yr At first I did not know what to expect...wel this exceeds my expectations for sure!!! Excellent so far...! Any plans/progress on the B model? Just curious...
December 15, 20159 yr Author I will try to build that SUV in RC. I'm going to do that too. I have a few areas to tweek, then I'll make a LDD file (so I can rebuild it if needed). I will take it all apart to see what I've got for the B model. There are lots of red and white parts so I could try for a fire truck (or plane).
December 16, 20159 yr apart from needing a more realistic prop. If this was a set I would buy it off the shelf - and that is the criteria I use to assign points to competition entries....
December 16, 20159 yr Author Wow! Thank you. The porp had to have a diameter of just less than 7 studs and be as heavy as possible (to maintain momentum) this is V4 and the one that works best with the ratchet engine. Do lego do a one-piece prop that would work?
