Posted December 30, 20159 yr This is my first time entering the Expand the Winter Village contest, so I'll accept comments and criticism! (I want to know how to improve ) My entry is a horse stable and cottage. At first it was only going to be a horse stable but it was too small so I decided to add the cottage to make it more comfortable! In the front of the cottage, there's some mistletoe hanging and some lanterns too. The inside of the cottage holds a small painting on the wall, along with a sofa, a small table, a stove and a fireplace... ...if you push the fireplace... Bam! You fall underneath! The photo doesn't really show the fireplace being moved but just know that when it gets pushed, the minifig falls. Next up is horse stable. We've seen many horses in the winter village theme but we have never seen a proper stable. We also have a small carriage. This can hold a minifigure inside but in here it's used to transport hay. We also have two rather large lampposts. Hope you like it, and good luck to everyone whose entering! Any comments and criticism will be appreciated! December 30, 20159 yr Nice one! I really like the idea of a stable. Glad you added the cottage; it looks great, with a nice interior. Good idea on the first floor door with the steps. Terrific carriage, too. Since you asked: A slight change I would make. "Rather large lampposts" is a bit of an understatement. They look nice, but they're quite bulky and high. Maybe 1x1 round bricks or a black Fabuland lamppost would work even better? Good luck in the contest, and keep clicking those bricks together!

December 31, 20159 yr Haha! I love the trap door fireplace! I don't know why, but I just do. It's so out of place that I love it... Great job!

Haha, thanks, the trap door was also put in there as a little feature for one of my Lego comic series' I'm working on.
December 31, 20159 yr This is great. I love horses and the stable looks good. I also like the play features which I feel are absent from some WV sets. If I had one suggestion it would be to make the trans pieces above the door 1x2 trans plates in green and red and clear maybe. I think the light coming through would look better but it still looks great as is.

January 1, 20169 yr I really like this. The cottage is a super cute design and the stable is just right. I really like the covered wagon and the detail of the flowers at the bottom of the lamp posts.
