Isundir Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) EDIT* TITLE IS WRONG, LOCATION IS B06 SORN!!! (I requested for it to be changed ) Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Exploration Doctor Weifu sent me out to do some investigating on Sorn, one of it's small islands had some very strange Awesomnium readings she wanted investigated and it was a perfect excuse to field test these new prototype droids team Ypsilon has been working on. While still relatively unfamiliar with Awesomnium I found something very peculiar, as I recall from the logs most often it is found in ore deposits but somehow these strange Awesomnium readings came from trees which appeared to contain liquid Awesomnium resin. I'll bring back a sample for the scientists to investigate. More pics: I had to use photoshop to touch up the lighting our they would've been pretty dark, I blame the winter My story will be continued later, what I had planned was too much work during the hectic holiday period and I hope I didn't overstep any bounds with this build particularly having Awesomnium trees Edited January 5, 2016 by Isundir Quote
SpacerSteve Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Really great build. I love how you are using a lot of robots a cyborgs. It feels very Kawashita. They look terrifying. The scenery is good too. Did you mean to place this on Sorn B06? Quote
Dragonfire Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The robots are really well done and I like the trees and the ground-covering leaves too! Same question as Steve, did you make a planet error? If so, then you should PM Bob and he'll change it for you. Quote
StarHawk3 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The droids are really cool. I like how you built the trees to. Quote

KlodsBrik Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Do you have ny knowledge of the books "War against the Cthoor" ? Your droids looks quite similar to how he explains them in those. Ive always wanted to build something from those books, and this build is quite inspiring. Great work indeed. So much going on with this vignette ! Quote
Orange Leader Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Those droids are awesome! The tree's look well done. Winter wheater can be a pain when you're concerned about natural lightning, fortunaly I have a big window with indirect sunlight. Quote

Thanks I didn't know of those books before, but if I get a chance they definitely seem like something I'd be interested in reading. If you do build something from the books I'd love to see it :) Those droids are awesome! The tree's look well done. KlodsBrik Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Thanks I didn't know of those books before, but if I get a chance they definitely seem like something I'd be interested in reading. If you do build something from the books I'd love to see it :) When you get the chance to read them. Do it !!! ... To me they are the best SciFi books ever. Even thought the first four are so old. David Gerrold have this insane ability to predict the evolution of technology ! But hopefully not the Cthoor´s invasion ( spoiler ) Edited January 10, 2016 by KlodsBrik Quote
