What's a Sea Rat without her ship? Susieh Cheng has the White Skull, a class 2A armed sloop.

Her cabin boy in the crow's nest has spotted something in the water. Is it more prey?

The ship sailed towards the object in the water. They found a soldier adrift on a raft.

"Please help me. I have been at seas for days without food or water. By the way, what happened to your eye?"

whiteskull6.jpg

The ship sailed on without rescuing the soldier. The soldier thought, "Hmpf, what just happened? Did I say something wrong?"

This is my first attempt at making sails and rigging. I hope they are ok. Tying those tiny knots was hard without reading glasses. :classic:

That's a nice sloop you've built. I love those white hulls and while fairly simple, this is still an attractive design. Well, all but that big skull on the stern but that's a different matter. The accent colors are nice and the rigging is great - nothing complicated, but very good and far better than the standard shroud pieces will ever be.

I'm really starting to like these smaller, more realistically-scaled prefab vessels. Good work, and I'll keep a weather eye out fer a seafarin' Blue wit' a li'l raff!

Looking good, I'd put the gun port covers with the hinge side up side next time.

you are a tough one on that blue soldier though!

Very nice rigging, especially the climbing nets :classic:

I'm starting to think that I really should get some of those white hull pieces for an Oleander ship sometime in the future

Thank you. Those pre-fab seems to make a good starting base to build upon. :classic:

Nice ship!

Thanks. pirate_wink.gif

Thank you. Good luck with your rigging. pirate_classic.gif

Very nice ship, looks really clean and smooth! thumbup.gif Great work with the sails!

Thank you. :classic:

A very pretty ship, I hope I won`t sail into her :-)

Thanks. The Sea Rats don't mind you sailing into her. It's really no problem at all. pirate_blush.gif

Thanks. Originally I had it with gun port doors hinged up but the modified plate was causing problems for gun elevation. I'll have to make the railing at least 1 plate higher on the next ship. Build and learn.

She doesn't like questions about her eye. pirate_laugh2.gif

Thank you. The white hull pieces came from the Friends Dolphin Cruiser set. It was fun walking up to the cashier with a big Friends box and smile. pir_laugh2.gif

You're of to a good start here! The rigging could be a bit more elaborate and I think the ship is a bit bulky at the rear.

Keep it up! pirate_satisfied.gif

Thank you. It's a start to still much learning in ship building. The bulky rear is all the better to hold more booty. pirate_laugh_new.gif
