After a dangerous journey Colonel Brickinson finally sets foot on a newly found island.

For Eslandola, for King and Gold ... and Country ... and Gold!

Aided by his biograph Bill Spillwine, Colonel Brickinson records every second of his first encounter with Huarriu, the leader of the strange islander tribe.

Apparently the arriving Eslandolands had disturbed a secret ritual in which the strange statue was obviously involved.

Bill Spillwine already had a title for the story: Brave New World.

Would this island hold treasures for Eslandola?

Better pictures can be found on bricksafe.

Nice custom flag, and great minifigs in general :classic:

Good attempt at microscale as well, but I think the background would have looked more believable if it was a bit out of focus and with less reflections in it?

Wow, a lot of comments for a rainy Thursday afternoon.

Great encounter scene, really like your style. I'm missing the monkeys though ... pir_laugh2.gif

There is a monkey in it:

You can see it more easily on the flickr pages.

Agreed, but shooting was difficult enough on such a dark and rainy day...

Where are the monkeys?

Great build tough, i like the background!

Thanks - monkey, pls. see above.

Nice brick built boat.

Hope that biographist can keep his papers dry

pirate_laugh2.gif I had no other place to put him pirate_laugh2.gif

So... the beach party finally ended, aye?

This is a fine little scene, and of course the islanders are a nice feature. The boat looks good and the forced perspective is cool, but I must admit the lone plant in front of Kahuka is distracting and I think another full-size tree would be nice. Other than that it's a fine build.

You'd better keep an eye on that biographist. I have a sneaking suspicion that whenever no one is looking he's actually writing "Hamlet" or "Macbrick."

Good work.

Oh, sorry I forgot that this category had a size limit...I guess you cannot put the background further back to get it out of focus then...

Lovely build! I guess this "Brave New World" is the one Huxley lifted the title from? ;) On the other hand, both had tribesmen! Maybe he lifted more than the title!! :O

It is not Kahuka - it is Huarriu! pirate_laugh_new.gif (maybe he should be spelt Hooarrioo...)

And, yes, the writer may be writing Bricklet or Brickthello...

Yes, Huxley and I have stolen from that famous writer.

(And coming from someone who shakes beer I thought I'd have a Spillwine).
