SilentWolf Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) The "Flying Colt" was sailing along happily on a merchant run off the coast of Garvey when suddenly it was attacked by privateers. The ugly scurvy aboard the “King of Mardier” wanted to haul in the cargo for themselves. The "Flying Colt" immediately set to defending themselves with cannon and prepared to fight hand to hand if it came to it. Fortunately, the Eslandolan escort "Queen of Terelli" was nearby to lend a hand. Some of our troops are a little too green for battle. Bregir Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Really nice build, Silent Wolf! I think it is an innovative approach to show the action from the enemy's decks - plus, you won't have to build a complete enemy ship! I like the plumes of smoke from the firing guns, and the enemy "ship" has just the right amount of detail to make it clear what it is - Well done! Quote
pombe Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 So, the people from Mardier dress in a topless fashion. Okay, that's doable. TOPLESS!!! I am strangely okay with this. Quote
Captain Dee Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Fine action scene for sure. It illustrates the event from a good perspective - perhaps better than two complete ships. Topless was also what I first thought after seeing the pics. The old 'figs are classics, but the bare backs always looked silly with printed fronts. I'm still not a huge fan of the newer pirate 'figs - they still have a cartoonish look - but at least the torsos look good from the back too. Quote
