SilentWolf Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Sergeant Anthony Bolton and his squad were well prepared for any attack from another nation. (See the former build for backstory.) However, they were not prepared for the danger that lurked on the island. SAM_7254 The wild dogs that lived on the island had never been an issue for the natives. They would see them on occasion and primarily only eating other wildlife or slipping through the forest. The expedition had been told of them, but they had never seen the dogs. It would appear that they had no reason to fear them. However, they did not take into consideration that a new diet might be in desire. SAM_7240 (2) Two of Bolton's soldiers heard the distressed neighs of the filly, and the snarls of the wild dogs. They immediately fired upon the dogs slaying two and chasing off the others. However, they were too late to save the life of the filly. In the future, Bolton is going to need to establish a better perimeter defense against the dangers of the island. Apparently, pirates are not the only dangers in the new islands. SAM_7248 SAM_7246 SAM_7240 Here are a few pictures of the ranch scenes in Cat A and B put together. SAM_7271 SAM_7274 Quote
Captain Dee Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 A wild-dog threat on a new island is an idea I'd toyed with a while back as a way to use some of my, uh, "large" collection of dogs - so you beat me to it, but I'm glad to see someone had the same basic idea. This integrates well with the other build, and the vegetation and animal poses are quite nice. I like the rail fence too. Neat idea for a build and good work. Quote
TitusV Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Neat vegetation! Altough I think the ground could be less "blocky", I live that tree! The fact it is modular with your other build adds up too Quote
blackdeathgr Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Although the build was nice, i felt sorry for the poor little horses A great original idea and a nice implementation! My only notice would be the attention to photo-shooting as some photos were a bit blurred. Quote
Ayrlego Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 (edited) An original take on Category B, I did wonder if someone might have a 'battle' against wild animals, hat off to you for giving it a go! Personally I'm not a fan of the friends horses, they are a little cartoon-y for my liking - but if that's all you have then good use of your available pieces! The fact the whole build is modular and goes with your other entry is a great idea and is well executed. Also nice trees! Overall good job! Edit: On a second look the friends horses do make excellent foals. I take back what I said! Edited March 22, 2016 by Ayrlego Quote
SilentWolf Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 I agree that the Friend's horses look cartoon like. However, when I found the Friend's foals I felt like they were enough like the old horses to pass as foals and fillies. There eyes are a little odd, but if you ignore that they do look a lot like gangly young horses. I might have bought a bunch when I found that out... Quote
