peedeejay Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Hey everyone, I would like to present my sixth modular building: A modular casino. Inspired by an art nouveau building on the outside, the inside features three levels where my minifigs can spend all of their hard earned studs. The lowest level features a roulette table where the guy who looked quite confident before entering the casino seems to have a hard time. Moreover you can relax at a bar or exchange money for chips. The staircase is detachable for easy access to the vault room. The middle level features slot machines and blackjack tables. On the top level you can play no limit hold em poker against a variety of other players. The manager's office is also located here. Statistics Parts: 4880 Build time: around 45h within LDD and 8h with real bricks Bricklink orders: 13 Below you can find a selection of images. All of them can be viewed here: http://www.kawano.de...ino/casino.html Again a building instruction is available for purchase for those who would like to build it themselves! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Very nice modular, the casino interior sets are spot on! Quote
xenlc Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Wow this is lovely. Really like the interiors. The outside is nicely done but I can't exactly tell it is a Casino. Maybe add a signage or something? Quote
Wookiee Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Really nice build. I especially like your roulette table build. Quote
kjm161 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Amazing build. The interior is wonderful and all of the gaming stations are spot on. Your minifig selection in also perfect. Congrats! Quote
Dazz Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Your MOC would be even better if packets of money were piling up in the office. Quote
peedeejay Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Thanks everyone! Wow this is lovely. Really like the interiors. The outside is nicely done but I can't exactly tell it is a Casino. Maybe add a signage or something? Since the building is more that of a classic "grand casino" I skipped an outside sign on purpose. :) Really nice build. I especially like your roulette table build. I'm also quite happy with the outcome. I did several design in different sizes so the final design took somewhere between 4-5 hours... Your MOC would be even better if packets of money were piling up in the office. The money is all piled up here: That's the apartment on top of my Pizza Parlor. The manager lives there as seen in other screenshots of the building so he is kinda running several business and is deeply involved in gambling. Legal and illegal. ;-) Quote
Palixa And The Bricks Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 As I said before this is a great building. I like the facade, especially since I saw the picture of the original building in the other thread. But the interiors and minifigures are the best parts. The faces of those two guys at the roulette table Well done! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 The nice exterior is interesting, but the interior is the real highlight of the building. The architecture reminds me of large villa houses seen in Rome, Italy. Did you have a real life building in mind when building the detailed facade? On the inside, the various gambling games really add a real life feel to the building. Well done altogether. Blogged at <a href="http://www.brickhamster.net/?p=3031">BrickHamster</a>. Quote
eanair Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Fantastic. So many fab details. The slot machines are brilliant, I love the double doors and the detail in the cornices (?) over the Windows is perfect for such a grand building! Quote
strider117 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Excellent! This MOC really represents the feel of TLG releases and visually reminds me of other official Modulars. Very well done, love it! Quote
peedeejay Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 Thanks again everyone! The nice exterior is interesting, but the interior is the real highlight of the building. The architecture reminds me of large villa houses seen in Rome, Italy. Did you have a real life building in mind when building the detailed facade? On the inside, the various gambling games really add a real life feel to the building. Well done altogether. Blogged at <a href="http://www.brickhams...ickHamster</a>. Thanks for blogging! I did have a real life building in mind, which I posted over here in the other thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=121165entry2514865 Quote
terryfay1983 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Wow.. I love this.. I thought about doing a casino awhile back but it wouldn't have been anywhere close to this. The detail is spot on. You've done a superb job Quote

Kristel Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Nice! Love the interior details, especially the roulette table. Quote
Dakar A Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 This is fantastic! I love the interior setup, and though you only linked it for context, your pizza parlor was great too. As someone else who builds on LDD and was thinking about selling instructions- do you host your own website/what sort of system do you have to set up to do that? Quote
peedeejay Posted April 6, 2016 Author Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) This is fantastic! I love the interior setup, and though you only linked it for context, your pizza parlor was great too. As someone else who builds on LDD and was thinking about selling instructions- do you host your own website/what sort of system do you have to set up to do that? Thanks! I have some personal web space together where I host my pictures (I dislike flickr for all the information they want from you). From there people can buy instructions directly via PayPal (click my sig to get there). I also use Ebay (links are at every description page of my builds). Edited April 6, 2016 by peedeejay Quote
Brick City Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Wow, that's really great! Fantastic amounts of detail packed in, reminds me of Casino Royale, in a way. Anyways, great job, two thumbs up! Quote
