rupi Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 When it come to Lego trains everybody has an oppinion, some defend one sistem over an other. But now the 9v is oficially dead and the RC(IR) goes the same way, I think is time to tell what you think..go out and protest... This shows the conflict between generations when it comes to Lego. BS folder Thank you for looking and comment. Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 That's funny! Nice one! *y* Good photography too! Dr. S. Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I love the spiderweb growing on the track! Good job *y* *y* :-D Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Nice one! *y* Great quality pictures indeed! But i'm missing the 12V trains in there..?? Are the RC trains really being discontinued?? Save the trais, save the trains! (everybody chant along) Quote
rupi Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 Thank you for your comments *sweet* I know 12v is missing... see everybody has it's own favorite sistem. I didn't put another minifig because it would be too crowded. By the way, when did 12v appear, after or at the same time 4,5v? I checked Brickset for info and they have 4,5/12v in the same theme. Holodoc Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Brilliant, indeed! *wub* On first sight I missed the old man to the right... Very nice idea! ...although I don Quote

john cleese Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 this is very clever, especially the addition of the old man who's dreams will obviously never be realized. I think you hit the nail right on the head there. Quote
Dragonator Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 :-D :-D haha. extemely funny! Great how you've arranged the minifigs, with the three protesters up front and then the old man struggling to keep up. Wooden toys all the way! :-D But no more RC Train!? X-O :'-( *sing* Quote
Siegfried Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 This is a great example of the concept being one of the most important parts of a build; and what a concept! :-D I thought it was funny enough without the old guy! Great work. *wub* Could I have a copy of your slogans? Please? :'-) Are the RC trains really being discontinued?? Yes, a new Power Functions remote control line is being developed. Not much details at this stage, but already it seems that the battery box, the reciever and the remote will be new. :-/ By the way, when did 12v appear, after or at the same time 4,5v?I checked Brickset for info and they have 4,5/12v in the same theme. They were sold at the same time, but 4.5 volts was first. I am looking right now at a 1986 catalog that has 7720 (4.5v) and 7740 (12v) in it. Quote
LuxorV Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Very nice vig *y* *y* I *wub* the old man and his crutch, very clever use of the Bionicle/ExoForce hands. And your photography and stickers are very nice, too *y* LuxorV Quote
rupi Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 Thank's guys *sweet* I looks like I hit a delicate spot with this train themed vignette :-D This is a great example of the concept being one of the most important parts of a build; and what a concept! :-D I thought it was funny enough without the old guy! Great work. *wub* Could I have a copy of your slogans? Please? :'-) Thank you Sinner. Yes, that's why I put them on BS folder (if you need bigger images for something in particular send me a message). I would like to see more people (other than the 9v) shouting their oppinion. And I love wood toys... :-D Quote

Holodoc Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 The boy is protesting against the end of the actual RC sistem that was used in just 2 sets, this must be the shortest train theme of all times. I know what he is protesting against, but I don Quote
Capn Frank Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) Great work rupi *y* That sux that the rc trains are going bye-bye I liked the concept of RC better than metal tracks, *y* even though there wasn't a good execution of RC. |-/ I haven't gotten a new train set in over ten years though 8-| My 9V tracks have long since stopped working and haven't had the effort to make them work :-$ Very curious to see how the new train line will look.
