VintageLegoEra Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) Welcome Back Again with another Classic Set Review: Lego 6022 Horse Cart....... Theme: Castle Sub-Theme: Crusaders/Lion Knight. This Set was Released in 1984. It has 33 Pieces, 2 Minifigures and 1 Black Horse. *This Set is Very ordinary to me (Now) But Back then, having a set with Saddle, Weapons and 2 nice Minifigures, it is something Extraordinary . *The part i can say it is rare and has point of interest is the (Dark Gray Minifig, Shield Round with Stud). * 2 minifigures and a horse is nice for such a small set. We have seen before most sets have same ranges of minifigures and horse in small sets! :) Will Leave you with the Photos: -The Set: -The Minifigures: -Rest Photos: Overall : - Nice Set and can be a great escorting Cart for troop. - The Alternative Builds have nice designs . My Score: 8.5/10 Enjoy! :) Edited June 5, 2016 by VintageLegoEra Quote
1974 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 My first castle set! Made my yellow castle old hat in a split second Many of the specialty parts where a first for 1984. I love that TLG threw in a saddle even though it's not needed as such (like the extra wheel in the blacksmith set) Cheers, Ole Quote

LittleJohn Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 A great little set, that shield is one of my favorite round shields they've made Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 A great little set, that shield is one of my favorite round shields they've made Indeed. And i dont know why this sheild was very rare made back then in very limited number of sets especially at early 80's... Quote
1974 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 That shield is a bit of an oddball It was first made it's appearance in 1979 but not with the new Castle theme, but in Space! Set 452/894 had two in very rare trans-clear. Now the odd thing here is they're not used as minifig shields, but as radars. There's no real need for that minifig handle and a 2x2/3x3 dish would do nicely instead (yeah, I know they didn't exist back then) The shield was never used in the orginal Castle theme, which is too bad as I'd liked a bunch of them in light grey It pops up again in 1984 in a bunch of Castle sets (dark grey) and Space sets (trans-red) And then it's gone ... Cheers, Ole Quote
