Posted July 5, 20168 yr Recently discovered in an almost forgotten corner of Petraea university, this painting by the yet unknown artist 'BC'. See Flickr (link in signature) for images without frame and background. I would like to claim the UoP credits for: Trees (1/3), Studs up rocks and cliffs. Edited July 5, 20168 yr by BrickCurve

The background is a handheld macro shot of some 1 x 1 roundplates. I intentionally kept the shutter open for way too long to get a sharp image in the hope it would look a bit like clouds. He rest of the image is several small MOCs combined in Photoshop.
July 5, 20168 yr Clever way to do the background there! I thought for sure it was just photoshop! The floating rock looks really good, and although the tree doesn't look exactly like a palm tree, it still is pretty neat. +1 for the tree and the rocks... I'm not so sure about the geography credit. You don't really have a mountain or cliffside (upside down for one and too small for the other).
July 5, 20168 yr I agree with Kai, UoP DoH +1 on the first two credits, but it doesn't qualify for the mountain/cliff credit.
July 5, 20168 yr That background is superb - but so is the rest of the build! Great job yet again BC!
July 5, 20168 yr Great build BrickCurve! I love the idea of making it a picture, it's very unique and works great for this build.

July 6, 20168 yr Excellent build, BC! The blurred background works wonderfully, and I really like that floating rock +1 UoP for the trees and rocks Edited July 6, 20168 yr by LittleJohn

It's always funny when auto correct doesn't catch a piece of really fast typing, "isjabid" = island! :D

July 8, 20168 yr Very nice island, and i like the background, with what appears to be an enlarged image of studs!

July 8, 20168 yr Very cool and very unique. I love the idea of a floating island. I quite like the tree but maybe it could be improved by shortening the limbs a bit.
