Posted December 31, 200717 yr Hello! This is my latest creation, depicting a criminal being carted down the city streets to his impending doom at the gallows. The tudor houses on each side were inspired by Lomero and MrTS. The cart was based off someone else's design, but I can't find his gallery anymore... :-/ [The Gallery] Comments and criticism are appreciated, please let me know what you think. :-)
December 31, 200717 yr great job!! i think you have a very good chance of winning! *y* and is that Hinckley on one of the balconies? :-P
December 31, 200717 yr great job!! i think you have a very good chance of winning! *y* and is that Hinckley on one of the balconies? :-P Yes, I do believe that is Hinckley! :-D
December 31, 200717 yr ...and Qui-gon, and Jedi Jimmy! :-P This is a great MOC, Sir Dillon, excellent job. *y* Will
December 31, 200717 yr ;-) Thanks, Sir Dillon... Sir Dillon, why am I not in you're MOC? :'-( Edited December 31, 200717 yr by Indy565
December 31, 200717 yr I wonder who the poor sap is that lives in the house next to the gallows... ;-) Steve
December 31, 200717 yr Wow! A great creation, the background buildings are fantastic, the gallows are nice and solemn, well suited in black, and you've done a nice job with the executioner too! *y* ~Peace
December 31, 200717 yr Author nice! is there a specific reason youre in it? and is that Hinckley on one of the balconies? :-P I was originally going to put in various member's sig figs, but I didn't have the time or pieces to really make it work, plus only a few of them would have fit in well. I'm in there because it's my creation... why shouldn't I be in there? ;-) And yes, that's supposed to be Hinckley in the balcony, I don't have the correct face, though. Qui Gon is there because he was already built at the time, and I didn't feel like changing him around. Who is Jedi Jimmy? Sir Dillon, why am I not in you're MOC? :'-( Because I had no reason or desire to include you... plus Indy would have looked very out of place, and I don't have an Indy. (yet) I wonder who the poor sap is that lives in the house next to the gallows... ;-) Steve Haha! :-D Well, he does have a nice view this way. Wow! A great creation, the background buildings are fantastic, the gallows are nice and solemn, well suited in black, and you've done a nice job with the executioner too! *y* ~Peace Thanks. I would have preferred the gallows in brown, actually, but don't have the pieces to make it so. I'm glad you like it in black. Thanks for the comments everyone!
January 1, 200817 yr Great MOC SirDillon! I'm sure to look more closely at the details later today (it's a bit late right now), but I really like the overall look of this scene! :-D
January 1, 200817 yr Thanks. I would have preferred the gallows in brown, actually, but don't have the pieces to make it so. I'm glad you like it in black. You're welcome. :-D Sure, brown would be more realistic, but I think black just looks better, after all, it is a rather black event, and it suits the scene well.
January 1, 200817 yr That's a very nice scenery Sir Dillon. Only the rotten tomatoes are not included :-D BTW Jedi Jimmy is a unknown Jedi who was included in the 2002 big Star wars Clone plane (don't know the name anymore), he got the nickname Jedi Jimmy.
January 1, 200817 yr Well, got a chance to look at the scene more closely now and I have lost none of my enthousiasm about this MOC. I'm quite fond of the diverse civilian population you've managed to bring together, and I also like how you varied the architecture between the tudor houses, it really gives the impression of a real medieval town. When it comes to tudor houses in general, I think two plate thick horizontal black beams look better than one plate thick ones, since they more closely match the vertical beams, but that's just a minor detail that hardly matters and doesn't influence my overall opinion in the slightest. Great work, my compliments! *y*
January 2, 200817 yr Hang him, hang him, hang him (everybody chants along). Great Moc sir Dillon, but i would have liked to see him actually hang in the last picture :-D And why is that agressive fabuland criminal still runing free in there? :-P
January 2, 200817 yr Why is Hinckley standing on the balcony and not in the cart?! Poor Sinner! Now this is really a marvelous MOC Sir Dillon, I enjoyed watching it. Love those tudor buildings. *wub* I wonder who the poor sap is that lives in the house next to the gallows... ;-) Steve Hehehe, poor you say? I think those guys were willing to pay for the view in those days! X-D
January 5, 200817 yr Hehehe, poor you say? I think those guys were willing to pay for the view in those days! X-D A corpse rotting in front of your house? Imagine the smell :-X . This is an excellent creation, Sir Dillon. Lot's of detail and such. How many sigfigs did you manage to put in there? I count 2 so far. :-)
January 6, 200817 yr Author How many sigfigs did you manage to put in there? I count 2 so far. There's only two; Hinckley and myself. (unless I added someone and don't know about it) Great follow up SirDillon, I really do like this MOC :-D Thanks. :-)
