AstroNutz Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 (edited) Correction: Not Purist due to paint. While searching eBay I discovered a minifigure that would let me bring the Moomin world to LEGO in 100% parts. Her name was Sandy Cheeks from the Sponge Bob LEGO series. Previously, I created Moomin heads from pencil tops. (http://www.eurobrick...15087&hl=moomin). Here's my new Moomin Valley. (It's also on IDEAS.) Here's Moomin in the distance. Please ignore the terrible job at washable paint. I used Sandy Cheek's head on backwards, to hide her teeth. For Snufkin I used the Green Ninja top. Here is Snork Maiden. I used the same head just added a dash of yellow paint. I also used two LEGO baby minifigures for the second smallest characters, Thingumy and Bob. Bob is actually hoding the suitcase. The smallest characters are the Hattifattener, here as sausage. I would love to see these glow in the dark. Little My is trying to catch the Last Dragon in the World. Also note the large tree ... which hides Stinky. Sticking is made with a Brick Foot head on short brown legs. Edited August 9, 2016 by AstroNutz Quote
Agent Kallus Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Purist means only lego no paint, eraser, 3rd party stuff etc Moomin is recognizable, but seems very tall. Quote
AstroNutz Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Thanks for the correction. I didn't realize that paint moves away from "purist". That makes all those purist sets even more impressive. I was just happy to find a head that fit the Moomin style. It took me forever. Moomin is a little tall, especially if Moominmmama and Moominpappa were in the set. The short minifigure legs are just so limiting with no range of motion. I thought briefly of Little My as a baby but I liked being able to add Thingumy and Bob. Quote
