brickmasterben11 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Hoth. I wasn't present for the battle, but I don't think i missed much. There's not much to Hoth; snow, snow, and more snow. I had some trouble opening the doors, as they were frozen shut, but I was able to get them open just enough to squeeze in. Odd. The lights are on. maybe the Alliance left in such a hurry they forgot to turn them off. I walked through the room. From what I could tell, I was in a maintenance workshop. A deactivated med droid stood rusting in the corner, with various supplies piled around the room. I noticed a holotable and activated it, surprised it still worked. I saw the mechanic, working on snowspeeder engines. I uploaded it to a mini holochip, and put it in my parka. I looked around once more, and started to turn towards the door, when I heard the click of a DC-15 behind me. A snowtrooper! He must have been posted to the base after the Empire took it, to make sure that any rebels stayed away. I drew my pistol and shot him before he had the chance to shoot me. I decided to get going before the snowtrooper was noticed missing. The sooner I get off this ice cube, the better. Signing off, brickmasterben11. Sorry for the pics, something is wrong with my camera, but I don't have the time to get it fixed right now. EXTRA PICS: Please judge and thanks for viewing! EDIT: Sorry for the picture size. I have no idea what happened, I really need to work on my photo skills. Quote
LucasLaughing Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Interesting scene - I like the sort of cluttered feel of the abandoned workshop, especially in the first pic. As far as pictures, a lot of them are pretty grainy, and it's hard to tell what's going on - I think you just need to have more light when you're photoing. The photos size is fine on flickr, they maybe didn't link correctly? Here's how I link my photos from Flickr (and if anyone else has a better way, feel free to comment): 1. From Flickr, click the download button on the far right on the picture window, then choose 'View all sizes' 2. Pick the size you want to post 3. Right click the photo, and select 'open image in new tab' 4. In the new tab, the address bar should say something like 'https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8509/29334958491_4b6159c47f_c.jpg' 5. On Eurobricks, click the 'image' button in the post editor (looks like a polaroid), and paste the 'c1.staticflickr ... etc' link there That should give you something like this: It's a pain at first, but it gets much easier / faster with practice, so don't get discouraged Quote
brickmasterben11 Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 Thanks for the help! I will have to mess around with lighting and see of i get better pics. Quote
Cody Startale Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Aw man, too bad! The picture quality is truly a shame, because from what I can tell, you have an actually pretty great build right there! If only we could view it in better quality, I would really like to see everything in more detail! But what I see, I really like. I think you kinda nailed that narrow, cramped Hoth-base look. If anything, I would have tried to give it a more icy-snowy look, perhaps with a white floor, too. Apart from that, I think it's a very cool build. Maybe you'll be able to provide some better images? However, cool build nevertheless! Quote
Zaael Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Can a mod add R03 to the title? Thanks! Quote
Puvel Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 (edited) Pics are a bit grainy indeed, as far as I can tell the interior looks nicely cluttered as a workshop should be though. Another way to add pics: Flickr > Select your picture > In the bottom right corner press the arrow (between the favourite button and the download button) On the popup that appears select BBEdit at the top > Choose a size and then just copy the link. If you paste this link, you'll have the picture, the name of the picture and your Flickr name will appear underneath. If you don't want the names to appear, you can delete the part of the link after [/img] Edited September 8, 2016 by Puvel Quote
Forresto Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 The picture quality isn't the best but trust me I know the pain. My pictures got screwed up on this episode because my lamp exploded, so don't feel too bad. Your build from what I can make out is very good! Quote
