Legofin2012 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) Just a small build to start off a series hopefully explaining the whereabouts, of Fin, who mysteriously disappeared 2 years ago. ~2 Years Ago~ Late into the night, all was quiet in Terydian castle, the full moon shone bright next to the principal tower. A group of barbaric men infiltrated the castle, I was instantly awoken when a ear piercing scream echoed through the corridors to my room. To my surprise two large men stood in my room, attempting to creep up on me, one with a knife, the other with a bag. I jumped out of bed and through a punch at the one with a knife, which thinking back, not the best idea as i'm sure my hand hurt much more than his rock hard stomach. After gasping and taking a step back, the second man slipped the bag over my head, after that not much can be remembered, as the cold hilt of a knife struck me in the head through the bag... Thanks for looking :) Edited September 25, 2016 by Legofin2012 Quote
TitusV Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) Looks great, I really like the curve of the wall and the tower in the background. The moon is a nice detail as well! Edit: just saw the last image with the sack: awesome job and minifigposing! Edited September 12, 2016 by TitusV Quote
Kai NRG Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Nice FP! The loosely stuck plates on the bottom give some nice texture too. And the sack in the last picture works great! Quote

soccerkid6 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Great restart to your Mitgardian builds! I quite like the layout of the build with the tower in the background. Speaking of which, those headlight brick windows are lovely Nice curving wall and action sequences too. The bagged head is perfect The book shelf and chest add just enough detail and life to make the room lived in Quote
Henjin_Quilones Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 That's a great use of forced perspective on that tower in the back. As SK said, the headlight brick windows are lovely. In fact, that whole tower is lovely. The rest of the scene is well-done, and a clever way of re-introducing a character after a long absence...although I guess it is not yet a reintroduction so much as the beginning of the backstory to re-introduce a character... I love the curved wall and the bag over the head, but really the lighting sells it. Great job. Quote
deraven Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I really like the composition for the first picture, and great build overall. But I must say, that bag over the head is my favorite! Really NPU and excellent posing! Quote

The tower was a bit of a last minute addition to the build, but glad you like it, and yes, tis' but the beginning of this adventure :) Not going to lie though, the lighting may be a bit of post-photography Magic! I really like the composition for the first picture, and great build overall. But I must say, that bag over the head is my favorite! Really NPU and excellent posing! Thanks, the bag helped come up with the story, and how it would start :) Quote

Legofin2012 Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Thank you :) Also Pt.1.2 is approx half way done, so won't be too long! Quote
MassEditor Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Love the room and the forced perspective, very clever work here! The warped floor boards and the story illustrations are particularly good details. Keep it up man! Quote

Thanks, the problem now is if ever I try to build a non force perspective full castle, I need to build a rather large tower! Will do :) Quote
Brandon Stark Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Like with Titus, I really like the rounded section of the wall, and the tower in the background is also really cool. The moon in the background is also a nice touch, and I like the way you photographed it to make it look like nighttime. Quote
halixon Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Very nice Vignette! I like the story! Quote

LittleJohn Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Wonderful interior scene and forced perspective! The rounded wall is superb, as well as the bookshelf and bed. The warped floorboards and bag over the head are great too though Edited September 27, 2016 by LittleJohn Quote
