I've owned the English version a couple times, it's the Ultimate Lego Book. It's fairly interesting, for what it is (pictures of mocs, facts about lego, etc.). Amazon.com has a used copy of the English version for $18.98, which I'd say is a fair price (I wouldn't pay more than that).

I have the English version, and it really is a nice book. It's called "The Ultimate Lego Book" here. It would definitely be cheaper to buy the English one.

Edit: Looks like Paradosis beat me to the punch by one minute. :-D

I'd defiantly recommend it. DK does a lot of really great books along these lines, and this is no exception. It's no in depth examination of the hobby or toyline, but it's concise and fun. Can't ask for much more then that deino2.gif

I've gotten this book from the library, and it's really awesome! (English version) It shows preliminary pics of the Rock Raiders line, with Ice Monsters(if you get the puzzle book, they are featured along with Lava Monsters!) and more! It's really a great get! *y* *sweet*

It's a very good book. It shows a somewhat detailed history of the line, a look into the Lego factory, the small details in the various Minilands in the Legoland parks, and some instructions. *y* *y* *y* *y* out of *y* *y* *y* *y* *y*

I love this book, it's great!

It shows the various methods of professional Legoland builders, how they make their big models to scale, it has some very nice detailed pictures of the Legolandparks, the history of Lego (with a piece timeline) and much more. Definetely worth your money. I have the Dutch version.

The pages 108 and 109 inspired me to make all sorts of Legolandscaled cars, like the one in my avatar. I also made the car on the cover in black.

Unlike being in a Legolandpark you can really see how they made all those models and try and build some yourself.

It's also available on Bricklink.

In my Library we have also the dutch version. It is a nice book from 1998 (I thought). It gives many inspiration.

I just realized that TLC still has a link to the book at their FAQ-site here.

They tell you that you can buy it from their store, but the link gets you back to the site where you came from. *wacko*

I called TLC to ask if they still sell it, but no - they don

I have the English version (UK), I've had it since I was about 10 years old I think! Funny you should mention it actually, I had a flick through it again the other week.

I think it's a really good book, with lots of info on the behind-the-scenes of LEGOLAND, and showing how sets are designed and things. There is LOTS and LOTS of inspiration in these books...everything is just so beautiful. :-D
