be sure and check out the full entries thread here.

These were the rules of the contest:

The Elflands Contest

elflands.gif

The Elflands are described as a deep woodland of mystery and magic. You have four weeks and a 100 piece limit to show us what set you would create if you were designing a LEGO Elf set.

Rules:

  • You have until May 6 (the end of Castle Month) to complete your entry. There will be no extension for this contest and no late entires will be accepted.
  • Use only LEGO brand elements and customs, imitation brands will burn in hell.
  • You can use custom pieces (including Brickforge and Brickarms products, etc...) and decals.
  • You can use sculpey or clay, play-doh, etc... to make hair pieces only.
  • You are not allowed to photoshop in new elements, weapons, hairpieces, etc...
  • Only one entry per member.
  • Post no more that three pictures per entry.
  • Use no more than 100 pieces.
  • a minifig (with torso, legs, hat and head) counts as three pieces. This does not include weapons, capes or accessories.
  • I'll be nice and say that a giant troll counts for one piece.
  • There is no minifig limit (army builders ;-) )

Somewhat off-topic (and possibly answered already elsewhere... if so I apologize for being lazy ) Hinckley: what font did you use for the usernames in the thumbs? (and in the current rank icons)

I voted for LegoJoe as it's a great playset, the rock detailing is very naturalistic, and the figs are excellent too!

I also love Tohst's entry as I am a sucker for excellent forest/ greenery design  .

Inspiring contest with some neat ideas from everyone.

I voted right when I started the poll, because I've had a favorite all along: LegoJoe-it reminds me so much of the old forestmen castle sets. I loved it from when I first saw it. It particularly reminds me of the Camouflaged Outpost:

One of my all-time favorite sets. So, you got me for the nostalgia vote.

I thought all the entries were great, a lot of creativity and incredible techniques. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who entered! :sweet:

It reminded me of the same set as well - except I couldn't remember the set name! - thanks for the reminder. :classic:

I voted for svelte_corps. I really like the way the waterfall looks and the surprise baddie inside.

And thanks to whoever voted for me. Please find 20 like-minded people and I'll win this thing!
