This is the time to let the world know what the best ever hotrod is, so vote for your favourite!

Here are some pictures for your consideration, more can be found in the entry thread.

I've put the names under the pictures, so Wilhelm Screamer can't nag about it, being over his airscoop or something.

Yay, voting! :sweet:

All of these entries are fantastic! Ones of pasrticular note to me are Lego Monster's cools creation, the colours on that are amazing and have been applied really well. Also SirNadroj for his awesome Fabuland style car, a real classic. My vote has to go to Captain green hair, despite him being the host, as that Snotrod is just amazing. I can't find anything to complain about, it is just totally awesome! So nice job to you.

This is an impressive looking collection. Part of the contest was also writing a little story about the MOC in question. Many of those are quite funny. I do urge everybody who wants to vote to look at the entry thread for those and also because just one picture of each of these doesn't always do them justice. For instance, you can hardly see the flame job on mine in the picture here, and I think that it's most interesting feature.

Say, captain green hair, I understand that if your hot rod were to come out on top (which isn't unlikely IMO), you'd hand the prize to the 2nd place winner, but I think it's not right for your snotrod to be in the poll. I understand you'd like to see how yours does, but I think it warps the outcome.

Cheers,

Ralph

I voted for Slyowl's Kahuka car, for it is really unique and looks fantastic!

You took the words right out of my... keyboard.

I also love Kahuka anyway, so, biased maybe.

Great entries everyone!

Voting was extremely hard for me. I wanted to vote Captain Green Hair though not 100% original, was probably the best one but because of that I voted For Ralph S and his awesome 32 coupe. I shall now spend ages commenting on each one:

-Sir Nadroj- mmmm muffins, Good job, very cute

-Staudie- Nice and classic, I like the use of the adventurers cabin

-Stealth Hunter- Great idea and I like that engine!

-Tarful- Good front end - it looks like a cat/ zoidberg  just kidding nice work

-Hinckley- Every bit is awesome apart from the lights. I considered voting for you :classic:

-Matn- Very original and good and the exhaust is nice.

-Zero1312- Nice rod! I would have liked 2 big exhausts instead of the one but it is a bit late for that now.

-SlyOwl- Really cool  How did you get those horns to stay on?

-Smartiac- Lovely design and engine :classic: It might look better with some colour but still... it is good

-LegoLyons- What a beast :oh3: It is like a monster truck crossed with a hotrod - very cool

-Jayber1974- Good shape and engine. It might be better in one colour but I still like it

-Oky One Kenobi- I cant say I like block block but I do like this! Very creative and that spoiler is cool aswell.

-LuxorV- Very long but interresting story and a cool rod. I like the use of the fabuland chassis

-Ralph S- I love the way you have got the narrowing front and also that engine. Great job altogether

-Landlubber- Now that is my type of digger! I love the blackness of it

-Batbrick- Cool! Although, it kinda reminds me of a tractor. Still, Love the front.

-LegoMonster- Astonishing! the colours, the flames, and the execution. The back wheel arch is just

-pig- Love it. Very original

-SimonWillems- Working suspension!!! Nicely done. Good colours and engine as well

-xwingyoda- I know you're gone but I'll comment anyway. Every bit is cool; the frog, the wheels the r2 unit and it flows really well :classic:

-Captain green hair- Very awesome indeed and very detailed! one question though, why is it called the SNOT rod as it doesnt use that much. Or does it?:tongue:

-BerndDasBrot- Woah :oh: that is huge. 6 wheels..... very nice, and good construction

-Widdi- Cool, I like the air intake

-Winhelm screamer- Nice rod but why vote for yourself? :sceptic:

-clonecaptin- that dio looks cool! I also like the bulkiness of your rod and the chains.

-UniqueBuilder- from what I can see, it looks really cool and slick. I would like more pics though.

-Benk- obviously the best here

-ExoBuilder- That is a very nice car you have there! you dont see too many blue cars these days (in lego). Reminds me of a tudor somewhat

*Phew*

Good luck to everyone!

I have just recently signed in from a fairly long absence to show my support for the recently departed admin, yoda.

I loved his hotrod because it fits in well with his sigfig, using the x-wing look of red and white with the really cool and trusty R2-D2 sitting above the cock-pit.

I thought that this was the only hotrod that showed a resemblence to the person who made it, plus it's the least I could do for an admin who stood up for others and wasn't afraid to ask questions.

mmmmm voted for :yoda: I did!

All the hot-rods looked so cool! :sweet:

I wish I can vote for everyone, but the only vote that I have goes to Hinckley. His hot-rod really caught my attention and is suitable for any town size. Using striking color such as yellow and a good combination of yellow and black clearly catches someone's attention. In addition, there are great engines and sweet headlights. The door is sweet too.

I forgot my cam when I went to LW, so I had to borrow one.. Still haven't got the pics though. :sceptic:

I voted for Captain Green Hair. His hotroad reminds me of the old Model Team sets...

But there are other entries which were very nice and fun. Some entries like Slyowl's moc reminds me more of a kart than an hotroad (sorry, I don't have the hotroad culture...). It could be another contest in the same spirit : building your kart for the next Mario Kart game... or LEGO racer!

Thanks goodness mine has no votes, it's horrible!

Still, I find it a bit unfair that Captain green Hair is in the running. Sure he passes on the prize, but it means that a lot of votes he received could have gone to other competitors...

Batbrick Away!

Build better, and it will not be an issue

Hey, a contest is about building fun in my opinion.

Don't force yourself into it!!
