Well i've gone against Hinckley's wishes and decided to post this ship here.

*Gets tounge back into mouth before getting whacked on the face*

I've decided to have this as a pirate ship with some design influences of steampunk.

But it's pretty much still all sail era stuff and no steam engine.

Hinckley's steampunk ship was a large influence from the style of ship that i've built here.

For some reason i can't load any pics from my computer onto my photobucket folder,

so i don't have all my pics loaded so far maj.com.

Well here's what i've got uploaded.

I'll post more later today when i have time.

No one knows the origins of this strange ship.

It's made of strange metals, and its design is bizarr compared to other ships.

Just like ZCerberus does, i wanted to make something for fun and not go for realism, but for cool looking.

This has to be the most unrealistic but cool looking ship on the boards.

It totally doesn't make sense at all.. but yet it does.

Nice ship!

It's true this "apocaliptic" look and the colours make it a bit weird but looking closely you can appreciate there's a cool design with a lot of great details, like the lights on the back, the gattling gun and, of course, those amazing white sails!

By the way, may I be part of one of your crews someday? LOL

It's the same flag that Col. Whipsitck graciously made for me in the Col.'s Personalized flags thread it's filed away in Library of Pirate Era Flags.

Well then you won't like that much of the inner decking of the ship is dark Bley.

Unfortunately the Constitution is hogging almost all the other colors of plates that would work much better.

It took me forever to get Hinckley's though.

To the point where i just went to a store that had the Hagrid face and then the most bricks i needed for the constitution.

This ship was far from complete and i showed it to Hinckley and Cap'n Green Hair when it was half complete.

So here are some more pics and a little more description as to what the puke is going on with this ship.

Since the "Pimp Your IMTP Ship" contest.

I thought The Blade was a little small for my liking.

I wanted to make something bigger and started on a Galleon,

which was looking pretty cool until i realized that i'd needed some (err a lot) of the bricks to continue construction on the Constitution.

Therefore i want for totally not realistic, and tada!

Ok, fine. Here are some more pics.

I worked on the captain's cabin much more than i usually did.

It has all the bare necessities: a desk, a bed, a weapons rack (stole the idea from a new Indy set ), and of course an aethershreiber. :

There are only 4 nine-pound long guns and one gatling cannon.

It may not be much, but it's very lethal against ppl on the opposing ships,

and not lethal to ships.

Perfect piratey weapons.

I like not using those hexagon crowsnest that TLG makes.

Here are three Rodeleros and Three Pikemen.

I got the idea to try out the Crownie torsos from Grakul's Crown Colonists.

Mr. Phes, Bonaparte, Mr. Tiber, Dr. S., ExoBuilder, and Staudie.

Here's the main gun crew.

Evil Willy, Stick, Jim (he's half Japanese), Hinckley, and Jocko.

Here are the Riflemen/woman.

My wife, Sting, IS, ZCerberus.

The strange passenger that claims to be an Owl, but looks like a skeleton.

I like to believe that the mythical Atlantis described is actually the catastrophic collapse of the Minoan Civilization.

Some archaeologists speculate that the capital city of the Minoan was on the Island of Thera (now Santorini), which is a volcano.

The explosive eruption of this volcano destroyed the entire city around 1500 BC and caused a tsunami to destroy all the other coastal cities of the Minoan civilization.

Hence, the civilization sank into the ocean. [/Off-topic]

What what what? I thought I said post it wherever. You don't need my permission. You're a staff member too, after all. Stop making me sound like a tyrant! despite my wishes...your face is a despite my wishes.

I love this ship phred! It's radical cool awesome. What sticks out to me as the most brilliant choice on your part is the use of the Exo-Force robot arms. If I revisit mine I'm totally stealing that. I love using those legs and arms for spaceships, but didn't even think about it for the steampunk ship. Wouldn't a robot arms be a cool thingy that attaches the ropes to the deck? Speaking of which, I really like your adaption of the rigging concept. Those technic "nuts" make an excellent addition to the art of string rigging. I love the round shaped body of the ship and especially the curved stern. What a smart idea to use those goofy hovercraft pieces. I have tried to use those in so many different MOCs with no success, but you've done a beautiful job here.

I also like the gatling gun...hey wait a minute...what the hell? Did you write your own version of EB news presents and include me and Jocko? It's art and hubris at the same time!

I also love the interior. You got so much in that small space. I really have to start putting more thought into the interiors of my MOCs. There's nothing inside my steampunk Pirate ship and Captain Green Hair actually had a long list of demands.

BTW, I always had the feeling that bumping a topic was okay as long as you had new information to add, which you did, so no apology necessary, IMO.

I suddenly have hopes that maybe TLG will see the light and make some kind of twisted new Pirates line merging elements of steampunk in a quirkly new way, like you've done here.
