Asuka Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 A charming work in a neat color scheme and with a well designed roof. The little garden and the well look also fine, and the interior´s nice and pretty detailed too. Perhaps using the same sloped plates for the fence looks like a little too much, but of course that´s just my personal taste. Quote
Hinckley Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Wow! Welcome to Eurobricks. This is a really wonderful creation. I love the way you've accomplished the roof. It's ingenious. I am slightly bothered by the click hinge method on the chimney. Only because it totally pulls me out of it to see the gap between the roof and the chimney. I wish there were a way to avoid that. Perhpas if the fireplace was placed in the back and rose up to the center of the roof line on the outside of the house. Besides that one small thing, this is a very well built and charming creation. I look forward to seeing more from you. Quote
Brainbox Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Fantastic! I too like the way you've made the roof, and the fence has just the right mix of 'strong' and 'slightly poorly made' (in context, not your technique). The inside looks rather spiffy, I like all the details (ie weaponry) you've packed in there. I agree with Hinckley regarding the chimney, but overall a superb MOC. Quote
Norro Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I love the wings as fences, and a textured roof. Great job on a lovely creation. You are most welcome to EB Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Quote
BlueBard Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Amazing MOC! I really like it very much because it's simple but at the same time full of little details, like the fences, the tree. the hammer, the axes of the door... By the way, welcome to EuroBricks! Edited May 12, 2008 by BlueBard Quote
Vaders_son Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Just like Hinckley's, my first though was just: Wow! Your house is really neat and I love the roof It's a bit strange to use the same parts for a fence but it doesn't look too bad. Btw - what set do those parts come with? Think I've never seen them before Welcome to Eurobricks! Best regards, Benny Quote
I Scream Clone Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Thats a really cool cottage you have made! Great use of the wings as roofing, the tree is very nice too. I really like the chimney and well as well The nice little details too like the flower bed and the blacksmith working on the hot metal AA++++ ISC :skull: Quote
The Bricksmith Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Your use of the red tran rod as iron from the forge along with the claw piece as the tongs is great. Very realistic and the overall MOC is excellent. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 That roof is amazing; great idea!!!! I'm into the little details also, so when I saw the smoke and "hot iron rod", i was very impressed. Fantastic job! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 That's a very nice Castle MOC, Vladin! I really like the nice atmosphere with the wooden roof, the garden, the fountain etc. And the interior seems to look very nice, too. If worked over it a bit that could very well be an official Lego Castle set as a house of a wizzard, a witch, some dwarves or a hermit ! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Very nice - my only suggestion is to include living quarters. Quote
Dovchenko Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 A very beautiful moc. Very nice, not huge and uses great techniques that were previously unthought of. I like it a lot, how it's smaller than before! Again, just add a bed for the "living quarters", or just something luxury. That'll make it seem to be more than just a workplace. Quote
