Whip On!

Wow, some of you are posting early haha. Considering this is a demo, it's actually downloading pretty quickly. I look forward to toying around with it later today =).

Yes, i can play it on 12 o clock!!!

Downloaded it, TIME TO PLAY!

Woohoo!

Only 50 percent left to go!

ROTFL!

Why, do you ask, am I rolling on the floor laughing?

Because I left the window on Lucasarts for the game and it is conveniently providing me with the Indy theme music as I type and it replays every time!:thumbup:

ALRIGHT: RANTING TIME!

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!

IT CRASHED ON ME TWICE ALREADY!

I GOT ERROR 1719 WHICH SAID INSTALLATION INFORMATION COULD NOT BE ACCESSED! WHO HERE HAS THE DEMO FOR PC AND HOW DID YOU DO IT?:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Rant over.

But I am still VERY unhappy after twice waiting more than an hour for nothing...

In case anyone cares, it crashed in the part where it said 'Lego Indiana Jones Demo is configuring your software installation'.

I was playing it and I have some questions, did you have to control both characters? Because on mine I had to control both Indy and Satipo (Meaning the second character didn't have artificial intelligence controlled by the computer?)

Also the keyboard controls are annoying and it didn't install links?? :hmpf_bad:

Strange, you must have pressed Player 2's button by accident haha.

Anyway, I love the demo, a lot. Now I'm even more hyped for the overall game >.>. I look forward to playing it on my Wii ^^.

Free Play is full of fun also :D.

Yea I played it again right now and I pressed f2 last time by accident which allows a second person to play

Its really fun to play, I love how you can grab anything like a spear or crossbow and use it :sweet:

Indy On!

This game is awesome and all I have to say is: Can't wait till June 3rd!!!!

on the part with the puzzle it took me a while to see the tile infront of henry jones sr LOL

freeplay is so cool I like how willie screams.

Lego Indy ON!!

Is there a mac version?

I doubt it. Macs aren't built for gaming and they rarely have games built on it, so since this isn't coming out on Mac, it'd be like an advertisement for a PC.

It STILL won't go on. Last time I tried, though, I got a little farther. I got to an icon on the desktop but when I double clicked it it suggest reinstalling the application. So I'm thinking 'Oh goody, another 4 hours in the bag.' :sceptic:

Sighhhh...

Good demo, I was a litle scared that it would match up with the SW Lego games, but it looks equally good. Funny animations, great details, good way to work out the storyline, in this chapter anyway.

There were some bugs, I couldn't use the second character or change the controls, which was frustrating.

I only found 9 out of 10 treasures :hmpf_bad:

Maybe THIS helps by your treasure problem.

Well, it took me a while to get this demo working (a friend brought it over on a disk because my computer wouldn't download it), but it was worth it. Here's a quick review:

Story - The cutscenes are hilarious as always, with all their clever takes on the movie. Belloq's C-3PO impression was just too funny.

Gameplay - The gameplay in Indy may be stronger than in any previous lego game. :classic: They've added some great features - like pickupable objects and weapons. I like that they're putting a bigger emphasis on platforming, with things like shooting darts, spear traps, colasping bridges - and of course. the boulder chase scene (which I think changed since the very first footage of Lego Indy gameplay). You can even swim, hug walls, climb ladders, and other stuff! :sweet: The special abilities of the characters are great too - using Wille's shieking voice to break glass is genius.

Graphics - The lego-ey bits like the characters and breakable objects are a bit rough around the edges, but I'm sure that will improve in the final version. Plus, the backgrounds are lush and the animation is smooth as always.

Sound - Lego Indiana Jones video game + Classic Indy music = epic win. Lots of sound effects too - and the minifig voices seem to be a bit more pronounced than in the lego starwars games. :classic:

Overall - A really great demo, and a ton of fun. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go and try to find that last hidden treasure that I missed the first time.

I think the problem is probably with your computer, not the game, because I experienced neither of those problems. :look:

it's really a good demo i think, but its SO MUCH like lego star wars! it looks like a clone of lsw :sceptic:

but i think im going to buy this game because indy rulles :classic:

but its SO MUCH like lego star wars! it looks like a clone of lsw :sceptic:

I highly disagree. Bear in mind, this is made by the same company who made the LSW games, and it is based off a Lego product, so similarities are bound to be present. I'd say they've done a great job of differentiating the two though. Yes, while the same sense of humour and style is carried through, you've got to see the little differences, such as improvements in melee combat which has a bigger focus (I saw Indy pull off various context different moves whilst battling in the demo), much better background and environmental textures, and possibly a glimpse of better level design in general, especially with the drop in and drop out mechanics (the partner was needed for very important tasks, such as getting across the water). I could mention more, but I think I'd probably just be repeating comments made by others such as Grevious.

Did the demo a while ago and loved it, got all ten treasures too! I love that cutscenes but wish there were a way to skip them occasionally, and the characters having abilities was genius too.

Batbrick Away!
