Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 17, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 17, 2008 9-C Diorama Just imagine this place with some Pirates searching for a treasure while being hunted by a group of angry islanders.... This MOC was not build to be a Pirate set, find details on the MOC page of the creator here. Not my creation, something I found on MOC Pages! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 17, 2008 Governor Posted May 17, 2008 What do you mean "imagine this place with some Islanders"? I can see the Islanders hiding in the jungle - can't everyone else? Quote
Fordo Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Well the rock formation and waterfall are exceptional in all areas especially top and bottom riples we can see. The only con is the lack of minifigures but thats a small price to pay for such an awesome MOC. The trees and folliage are also well placed and make it an overall spectacular build. Quote
brickbitz Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 This is an absolute work of art. I'm always inspired to try similar things by such wonderful creations but mine always turn out pants. It would indeed make an excellant setting for a pirate moc. Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Wow, that's absolutely stunning This MOC is ridiculously realistic - one really has to look before realising that it is in fact Lego. The rock formation is fantastic, very South American-esque, although I'm not entirely sure why. The shrubbery is great too, the growth in the corners of rock and above the cliff faces is very realistic. Finally, the waterfall is just superb! The effect of the splashing water (can't think of a better description.. ) is stunning, and the water ripples work very well indeed. Looking through the page, I notice another nice creation, good for hypothetical Islanders too. Thanks for the great find Bonaparte, Islander or not Quote
Oli212Lego Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) Islanders where?! Great find! Edited May 17, 2008 by Oli212Lego Quote
robbo Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) Awesome piece of work, the best moc Cliff face i have ever seen. Am i seeing things that are not there....i mean the rainbow and mist effect in pic 6. Edited May 17, 2008 by robbo Quote
The Rancor Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I like the barrel who goes down the waterfall! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 17, 2008 Governor Posted May 17, 2008 Now if we enlarge the cave 250% we can see an Islander running around with a spear... Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 17, 2008 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 17, 2008 You must have been drinking too much rum Mr. Phes. I clearly see the Emperor of France in that cave Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 17, 2008 Governor Posted May 17, 2008 It must be a busy cave... Anyhow... According to the Brothers Brick this MOC is actually astory called Apocalypsis which is divided into three episodes. It was created by a fellow named Mark Kelso. The story can be found on MOCpages. Quote
Vaders_son Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Wow this is so realistic! I love how this is done, great landscape! And a pretty busy cave that is indeed Benny Quote
Asuka Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 What a great find, Bonaparte.... Mark Kelso did a simply marvelous and sheer brilliant work with that, one of the most inspiring LEGO landscapes I´ve ever seen! Quote
iamded Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 This is truly a masterpiece. Such detail, one of those MOCs that hardly looks like Lego! It's awesome! Great find, Bonaparte, and kudos to Mark Kelso! ~Peace Quote
Basiliscus Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 I saw this on MOCpages and my jaw dropped. So realistic, it's almost a sculpture. Amazing work. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Wow, how did i miss this? This is an absolute masterpiece, very inspiring! Why does the Emperor have to live in a cave i might wonder.... Quote
Dovchenko Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 My new favourite MOC to date. I love that, it's so well built that it's not even funny. Love the "comic" a lot! Yes I can see islanders hiding in the forest, YARR YE ISLANDERS! Quote
The Daphne Blue Strat Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Wow, how did i miss this? This is an absolute masterpiece, very inspiring! Why does the Emperor have to live in a cave i might wonder.... Well, he WAS exiled. ...twice, I believe. Vive l'emperor! Quote
Opproperaar Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Somehow that's an ideal setting for a 'Jurassic Park' or 'King Kong' theme. I can only have wet dreams about an enlarged MOC like that with a forest, mountain, bigger cave and a sailing ship in the bay. But seriously, really good, the dude falling from the waterfall is simply yet ingenious. The rock formations couldn't be better and the water effect is also very well done. Perhaps some animals would work wonders here. Quote
Capn Frank Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Wow. This is very nice! Very intricate, i really like the silhouette that looks like an Islander or Emporer. The trees are fabulous! And so is everything else! I placed this great MOC in the Index of Land-Based MOCs. Quote
cyclone501 Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Very nice. However, on a side note, Napoleon was not exiled on a deserted island. He was exiled to a small British colony. No, twas definitaly an islander. (Grade A+ History Buff). Quote
SlyOwl Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Good, but now it has got Islanders! Clicky It's hilarious Quote
