Posted May 30, 200816 yr I've completed my Tantive IV scene for the Clone Army Builders Guild 'Epic Star Wars Contest'. The contest states that you can build any memorable scene out of lego, in a 'Midnette' form. Rook came up with this idea and is running the contest. A Midette? It's now 16 x 16, at least for the contest. I threw this together quickly, I'm working on another project and couldn't be bothered too much with this one. My title picture is the link to the gallery: A few more pictures: Please note in the last picture the custom DH-17 rebel blaster used in this scene in the movie; it's a small lego gun with a 1x1 grey cone placed over it. Very effective. Any questions, comments, suggestions?
May 30, 200816 yr A neat scenery and a simple yet pretty effective job with the DH-17. Hmm.... according to Wookieepedia the optimum range of that blaster´s thirty meters, I wonder why that movie model needs such a pretty big scope....
May 30, 200816 yr Author Thanks! I actually discovered this gun technique while I was making guns for my Clone Army...I had a Dark Grey cone on the end of one and forgot all about it. Started making this, found the gun laying randomly on my workstation, pulled of the dark grey and and swapped it for a light grey piece!
May 30, 200816 yr I like that alot Clonecommando007!! And I did that with my blasters and I didn't like it that much I put in a modded lego pin thing and it looks cool....but I think it was just the color... Well great go job!!! I hope yours wins.
May 30, 200816 yr Author I hope mine wins too. However, I'm busy preparing for a project that everyone will hear about soon enough...It's big.
May 31, 200816 yr Nice work for a quick build! Im still mucking around with blasters for my MOC's too. Im not a big fan of the light grey cone, but it is releastic to the movie. On another note, man are your white bricks well loved! Cheers ISC Edited May 31, 200816 yr by I Scream Clone
May 31, 200816 yr Nice job, really! I specially like the rebels' blatesrs, they're so well designed! Nevertheless I think a more detailed door in the back and a bit of black for the floor and the walls would help...
June 1, 200816 yr I hope mine wins too. However, I'm busy preparing for a project that everyone will hear about soon enough...It's big. I know about it... nice job CC-007. I liked it at the CABG and I like it here.
