Batbrick Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 (edited) Hi all, the other day I bought the Exo-Force Chameleon Hunter. It had great bits, but overall I was rather unsatisfied with the model as it had a lot of holes. So I fiddled with it before I took it apart and came up with the Chameleon Jet Fighter! It uses a slightly modified cockpit from the original, and only pieces from the set: The claws act as weapons and landing gear: The wings are highly adjustble for flight and manouvreability: Weee! Bendy! And finally, in flight: Thanks for looking and comments appreciated! Batbrick Away! Edited June 24, 2008 by Sinner Quote
xenologer Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I like the shape, especially in the 3rd photo. an undernose cannon would look really great in that pose. I could see it swooping in for strafing ground targets. one thing that bothers me though is it seems to have a few too many spikes and protrusions. like all those lime wedges and the red claw and sword bits. maybe you could smooth things out a bit. kill will Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Wait, It's made only with peices from the set? *buys set**Opens box and dumps out contents.* Now how'd he build that.... I love everything about it except the stupid EF fig. now where's a batman smiley when you need it.... Quote
Zarkan Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 You must be the third person who thought of making a fighter out of the Chameleon Hunter parts. The first was someone on Lugnet, and the second was me. This is a really cool model - I love the landing gear. The cockpit is great as well. Actually though, you only need a few grey bricks and slopes to totally fill up the holes on the official model - thats what I did when I bought it. Quote
Svelte Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Great rebuild, Batbrick. It reminds me a little of the Agent jets with the cockpit and wings - maybe this can be their camo jungle fighter Quote
Asuka Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 A very neat idea and an original and smart jet indeed, well done. It reminds me of some kind of exotic flying fish, pretty cool! Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Sleek Jet Fighter! Good improvement It looks much better, and seemed to be able to fly faster into the forest? Since its camo green, and I believed this is the first time I ever seen a Jet in green. Quote
iamded Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 That is really very cool Batbrick! One sweet redesign, much better than the original IMO. Maybe I should pick up that set. It looks very sturdy and posable, great MOC indeed! ~Peace Quote
SuvieD Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 I like it except for the red parts. I would remove them completely and I am not sure they need to be replaced. I like the green variety by itself and the landing is really nice. Good build. MOC on! Quote
Brainbox Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Very cool Batbrick. You know, it looks a little like the protoform modes fom the Transformers movie in the general shape. The landing gear is very cool, and considering it's made from a limited number and selection of pieces. Overall, a cool fighter BB2. Actually though, you only need a few grey bricks and slopes to totally fill up the holes on the official model - thats what I did when I bought it. Exactly what I did as well. Quote
