Last time, I asked for help choosing a tribe that survived a shipwreck and was abandoned on a deserted island as a theme and cast of characters for a new comic on my website. This time, my secret Eurobrick member creative consultants have given me ideas for what Survival kits the survivors will find from the wreckage. So please read these ideas and tell me Which survival kit would you like to see the castaways in the comic with?

Vote for the survival kit, not the tribe please. A tribe has already been selected in the first poll...

Tagi

We of the Tagi tribe know all about survival. Survival is more than just mere living; it's maintaining your standard of living as well. Thus we have as part of our kit a genuine Tiki bar, complete with beverages and a tasteful palm shade to keep out that pesky sun. Adjourning the bar is a lovely jacuzi, where Tagi members can be found relaxing, sipping martinis and watching the sun slip slowly beneath the horizon, while the camp parrot serenades us with songs from home. The drinks are homebrewed, fresh from the still, bubbling and sparkling, providing a delightful method to escape from the realities of survivor life.

To keep our strength up while drinking and relaxing, we have developed our own, colorful method of hunting- the bazooka. This will allow us to hunt wild animals from afar, killing and cooking them to a perfect medium rare at the same time. Culture and religion also isn't forgotten, with an Tiki idol displayed prominently, its expertly cut lines cast mysterious shadows as the dying flames flicker across its face.

  • 2 Stools
  • 2 Glasses
  • 1 Umbrella
  • 1 Parrot (Captured)
  • 1 Bazooka
  • 1 Tiki Idol Statue
  • 1 Still

Pagong

challenge2_full.jpg

Here we see the Pagong tribe working to secure the necessities of life and explore the island.

Inga is exploring the mountains with her binoculars, rope and hiking pick. She carries a magnifying glass in her backpack (she only has so many hands) and has found a golden treasure that could signal planes or scare natives. Her pistol is for security, or possibly hunting.

Jeremy is doing the hard work, chopping trees and collecting wood. We see him with his axe, cutlass/machete, knife, pick axe and radio to stay in touch with the tribe.

Monique is doing research on the beach with her book, compass, sextant, and bottle. She's found another rare treasure, which she will safely place in her large backpack.

Randy is taking a break from digging to surf with his teddy bear. We aren't asking about that. A nearby torch will help him find the tribe again if he surfs too late.

Art is tinkering with the metal detector he recovered, using his crate of tools, including: a screwdriver, spanner, wrench, hammer, and oil can. A nearby radio will alert him to trouble. He has personally tuned all of the radios to the same frequency for privacy and tested them thoroughly.

Vladimir is pouring water from a barrel into a large pot to eventually boil up a clam dinner. He has collected an assortment of supplies, including: a large pot, clam, bottle, knife, brush to burn for a fire, pan, and another radio. A crate makes all of it easy to transport as necessary.

Phil is collecting food. His backpack will be full by the end of the day. It currently holds a fishing pole and net as well as a spear. He has a fish and some berries so far.

Life isn't easy, but with the right organization and everyone working together, Pagong can live fairly comfortably on this island.

Hmm. Well, Tagi seems more fun and cartoony, however, I like the more realistic and interesting side of Pagong, so they get my vote again. :sweet:

Tagi for me, even though they will likely die within a few days, it sounds a lot more humorus to watch besides they could use the bazooka to kill off some of the Pagong steal their resources then go chill at the minibar for a while... .
