Hinckley Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 So, I've been telling you guys I'd like help creating a comic, well guess what? That was just a ruse. I'm pitting my friend's against each other in an elimination game ala the American TV show (BBC ripoff ) Survivor. So, really, when I've been asking you to vote for which tribe or survival kit you liked best, you were really helping move the game along. I believe that became obvious last time when the players started posting in the thread egging each other on in a competitive fashion. So, once the game is done, I'll present it just like a TV show (but still frame ) on my website. So, now you know, but I won't be revealing the identity of the players until it's all over. So, this week's challenge was to build a shelter. Which one do you like better? A. or B.
Admiral Blockbeard Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 are we to vote on likes or shelter, for example the build and usefullness for the mini figs to be sheltered, or just an over all judgement on appearence and creativity? i think i can see what was required by you! like a cooking area and that they use BURP's and ship hulls and s masts that toliet is humerous!

There were no requirements. Not the way you seem to think, anyway. Why would anyone require BURPs? Anyway, it was a seed contest. Each tribe had to include five select pieces-none of which were BURPs... and there was a piece limit, but that doesn't matter. There's one simple question and I can't tell you how to vote for it: Which shelter do you like best?

JimBee Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 (edited) B, because its much more subtle, although unrealistic... a toilet on a deserted island? Who takes care of the plumbing, i wonder? A is awesome too, and big, but B is smaller and... cozier, i guess. Oh yeah, and clever grill, table, and toilet techniques... MacK Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Its a hard choice for sure, both of these shelters seem really good . A looks really good and is pretty realistic I really like the use of BURPs the rope bridge looks great, as does the ship. As unrealistic as it is shelter B also looks great, the upside down boat hull adds a lot of character to it, and hurray for a good ol' toilet beside the minibar (to bad theres no toilet paper ). After a long look at both of the scenes, my vote goes to B because it seems to be a more comfortable place to live and I like the little details like the toilet and the good looking grill. Although I like the secenery better in A, but I guess that if you were stranded on an island the shelter would matter more than the scenery so I say that B is the better of the two.

Stony Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I voted A because it just looks so original. It looks inspired by the treehouse in Whacker and the Walrus. There's one high rock, a rope bridge, and then another high rock and then theres the pirate ship hull. Besides it looks like it has many hiding spots that could create interesting story arc. B is very uncreative to me.
