zeki Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 This is it... my WIP layout...consisting of firestation, police station, gas station, post ofiice and some houses...all comments welcome! Quote
BlueBard Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Nice work! That firestation is going to be huge! If I can make one criticism I would have put the police station in one of the tops of the street, it wouldn't look so "hidden" Quote
zeki Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 The layout will be orientaded differently than it is now, so the police station will actualy be better visible. I will add roads round the block helipad for the firestation and 2 or 3 buildings. On front side there will be a small "river dock" for police and fire boat... but surely it will take some time Quote
Norrington Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 That looks fantastic! I love all the large doors on the firestation. Nice deviation from the standard roll up ones. How many trucks and fire-fighters do you have? Quote
Zepher Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 That does indeed look fantastic! There are lots of spaces to fill (I'm sure you're aware). Wonderful work so far! Quote
zeki Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 The station has 6 bays, and the apparatus consists from 3 trucks, 2 jeeps and a van. I know there is still a lot of space and i plan to fill it all out and add roads... Quote
BillytheKid Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 That's really impressive. Keep on the good work ! Quote
Eilif Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) Well done. I'm not a big fan of the "fire" subtheme, but I particularly like your fire station. It combines some of the classic 70's and early 80's stylings, with a scale that is more in line with current LEGO offerings. Excelent use of those fabuland-esque windows (house builder kit I assume?). I never could find a good use for them, but they are very effective on your MOC. Edited July 18, 2008 by Eilif Quote
