Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Since I am a total Clunkadunk fan (yeah, sue me! ) I built a Twilight-esque freighter ship. It was originally owned by a private shipping company, but was sold to a used ship Depot. Jack traded the Crimson Bolt after the Clone Wars ended and he escaped into exile after Order 66 for this ship. The ship is currently unnamed, so I need help from you guys for name ideas. I'm working around "Colbalt" like I did with the Crimson Bolt. Example: The Colbalt Clunkadunk. Linky. Preview: Comments/Critisism/Name Ideas welcome! DSR Edited July 15, 2008 by Sinner Quote
LegoFranks Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought! Seriously, looks good, and I expect a lot of people will be making similar ships! M. Quote

Siegfried Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 It's too sleek to be inspired by Twilight! It reminds me more of a beefed up B-Wing. Quote

Haha, hearing that this thing is "too sleek" is just hilarious! It was never meant to be sleek! And yeah, it DID turn out looking more like a B-wing. My friend said that when I showed it to him, too. Also, I didn't take a shot of it, but the cockpit is extremely roomy inside! It only holds one, though. DSR PS: Thanks to Sinner in for indexing this! Still thinking of a name! EDIT: Maybe I should just stick with "The Colbalt"? That works, right? Edited July 15, 2008 by Dark Sword Ragnarok Quote
zero1312 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Hmmmmm..........., interesting shape. Very unique (to me at least). It needs mor blue though. Quote

I agree, it does need more blue. I was working with mostly parts from the Agent's truck and the AT-AP, because I tore them both down and started building. Quote
Trexxen Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Aww, man! I just started working on a design that has a very similar cockpit! (Then again, I too just got done tearing apart my MCC...XD) Ah well! =P Anywho, this is a great little ship you've got here. It may only have one wing, but it does look very streamlined! I like the "half-wing" idea, it lends a unique look you don't often see in Space MOCs. One thing to consider, though - the "Cargo Area" looks very bare, perhaps find a way to instead make it so that the wing tapers off in height on that side (and on the bottom, too), or has something to cover it - with engines that look that powerful, I think any cargo would have a tough time staying on the open wing! =P ~Trexxen Quote

Maybe I'll try that. By the way, it actually wasn't intended as a cargo ship at first, more like a private ship for one. But, like most of my MOC's, I started with the wings and cockpit and tryed to make it as sturdy as possible. Then the back "cargo area" just kind of grew out of the rest of it. It's better for troop transport, actually. And I've yet to find any cargo to hold... DSR Edited July 20, 2008 by Dark Sword Ragnarok Quote
