The Green Trooper Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Hope this Topic is the first. On brickshelf I found a new german LEGO Flyer, with a preview of a new factory ser. The name is 10200 Custom Cars. With 3 cars, 2 minifigures and a little house: Enjoy.... greetz G. Trooper
The Rancor Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 BEST...RACERS...SET...EVER! (and it isn't even racers) I was hoping we would get more Hot Rod Racers at some point!
THE-FORCE Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I spy with my little eye: 4 Minifigures! 2 in cars and the other 2. Great find, thanks! Greets, The-Force
Stauder Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Great find, the picure is a wee bit big tough... still Great find! Sneaky TLC did hide something from us after all! Staudie.
Pencoin Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) Wow cool set, wonder who designed this one! Is that star-wars piece i see? That will please alot of people i think. Might even get this one! I just realized the chairs are mudflaps Wait the cups are lights, wow alot of odd-use's here i love it! Edited August 8, 2008 by Pencoin
Skinny Boy Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 That looks amazing. The shop looks a bit weird, but the price will decide.
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 That would be a great addition to my city! Its a must buy for me.
WisrthanU Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I love the new minifigures and cars! They rock! I can't wait till their release. I always loves the older hotrods, I know their are new ones!
Eilif Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Wow, that looks great. I'm actually most excited that if it really is a "factory" set, then that great tan torso and tan minifig legs will soon be available on PAB online! THat should please alot of military builders. I'm not a racers fan, but this set looks like a really fun build with alot of neat parts. I'll definately pick it up if it's not too expensive.
Matn Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I sure hope this set isn't too expensive, because I want this one! Wow, it looks just so great. Very nice cars, what a great built with a lot of details in it.
Captain Green Hair Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Ah good to see the Hotrod madness has taken on!! Looks like an awesome set! Thanks for sharing!
Lego12 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 The set is a must-buy for me and my city! But remember, Factory sets are usually over-priced Finally Hotrods!!!
filefolders Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Nabbo pilot torso on Pick-a-Brick. Please be true, please be true, please be true.
Zarkan Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 *jaw drops* RADICAL, dude! Those cars have to be some of the most detailed minifig scale vehicles I've ever seen in an official lego set. And I think some of those minifigs have new torsos too! Man, TLC is really giving us a boatload of exclusive goodies this year. Modular building sets, Factory sets, UCS sets, landmark sets... this is lego heaven!
Eilif Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) The set is a must-buy for me and my city! But remember, Factory sets are usually over-priced Finally Hotrods!!! I agree that the recent space Factory sets were a bit overpriced, but I think this could have a wider audience than the Star Justice kits. Here's to hoping that this will have a price/piece ratio like that of Market Street. One thing about the naboo minifig. On closer inspection, that fig might not come with the set. I suggest this, because the Advent calenar is pictured with more dwarf figures than actually come with that set. Edited August 8, 2008 by Eilif
Derek Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Whoa mama! That set is really cool! I can only imagine the price, Probably $100 USD...
DJ Force Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 If this has a decent price, I´ll buy it! And I really hope that when PAB get updated with the new parts, no old parts have to go (again).
The Nightwing Reborn Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I am taking a shine to this new set those Hot Rods are to die for . The Star Wars torso gives me another idea: Factory Liscenced, if only . )TNR(
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) Thank you very much for that information and for the pic, The Green Trooper! It's great to see TLG releasing sets which were created by their fans! The cars generally look nice. Regrettably they are way too big with their six stucks. You regrettably can see in the Custom Cars set that TLG didn't change much on the artwork of the fan who designed it - and regrettably it consequently looks a bit . It would have been much better if TLG added a roller gate to the big garage. And I miss the lovely details which most of the time are part of official sets like tools, a coffee machine, ... At the moment I tend to not buy this set because of the reasons above, because of money reasons and since I already own the older version of it which I personally like much more. But I will finally judge after having seen more detailed pics. I personally would have prefered if TLG changed some things on this custom model - because it then would have looked much better! But for "City starters" which do only own few civilian cars (and generally very few civilian sets) yet it's surely a good idea to get some civilian cars and minifigs. darkrebellion Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) Wow, this is an awesome set . I really think TLC is in the correct way releasing sets their fans design. I just can hope this to be extended and TLC start allow fans design some licensed sets, especially in the Star Wars theme . EDIT: I just finish of saw the whole pic and it also include a new image of the new Taj Mahal and it looks awesome detailed , sorry if this comment is off-topic. Derek Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Wait, I half noticed it, but couldn't that SW torso technically violate the liscense terms? Perhaps its just preliminary, as it does look somewhat out of place...
