Capn Frank Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 This is my first attempt at creating a Cat O' Nine Tails. I like the way it turned out. It turned out better than i thought it would. I couldn't get this pose to not be blury for whatever reason. Probably user error. I used a 3mm rubber hose from a Megablocks set, knotted sewing thread, and super glue. The same rubber hose that i used to fasten my U-clip onto the M1-Garand. Quote
SWMAN Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I think the hose is too big for the short thread. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Excellently done, Phred! At least the Megablocks set finally came in handy! Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Great work Mr Pickle!! Although I have to agree with SWMAN though, : I think the hose is too big for the short thread. Perhaps you could make the thread a bit longer or the hose a bit shorter? Especially in the blurry pic it looks a bit like a lighted dynamite stick, but instead of red/orange sparks black sparks. Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 12, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 12, 2008 Looking very good P! This must be the first Cat O'Nine Tails that exists in Lego form. Now try it on some of your crew members Quote
Capn Frank Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Thanx guys. I think the hose is too big for the short thread. Although I have to agree with SWMAN though, : I was basing it off of the pic from Wiki where the whip portion is only a little longer than the leather handle: I'll have to meditate on this before hacking pieces from my whip. Now try it on some of your crew members Only on crew that call me a pickle. Quote
Joey Lock Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I was thinking of using the Indy whip but this Custom is more flexible! The Indy Whip doesnt bend easily. Good work mate! Quote
