So Jan Beyer asked us to already now collect names for an upcoming event next year.

The event will next year take place in *drumrole* ... Germany, Güntzburg.

It will be in May. Have no clues when in May yet.

HEY! :hmpf_bad: This year I'm in a new school and I am now "responsible for educating myself"

Well, I'll have to check my school's plan before I give a 110% accurate answer..

Wanted to add you in advance really.

Same with CM and Holodoc.

With Morten, I never know

Holodoc will be my wingman by the way, and contribute to plan the event.

To organize with living plans and transportations and so on.

But you might want to walk to the park as usual or what

Did I already say I was coming?

By the way: In Germany we have two feasts in may:

1st of may: Labour Day - a friday

21st of may: Ascension Day - a thursday

so every time around these dates would be very easy to get off (work/school/university, whatever).

I would prefer the later date.

We have the same feasts/holidays in Norway too.

Last year, LEGO World Norway was held from the 1st of May (a thursday) to the 4th of May. Nobody knows for sure yet, but I think it's probable that it will be the around the same time next year too. Maybe we should await deciding a date before we know anything about LWN or any other events? :classic:

Hi!

By the way: In Germany we have two feasts in may:

1st of may: Labour Day - a friday

21st of may: Ascension Day - a thursday

Only the very last weekend would work for me (29-31). In case this is to be the date, I'm in.

Otherwise, I'll be tied up in work projects & preparations for those (and yeah, that includes weekends, unfortunately).

If it is in the May holiday you can count me, my brother (Arnoud) and cousin (also Johan) in. We would love to go there with other LEGO friends.

Hmm seems that the Dutch May holiday is "25 apr 2009 - di 05 mei 2009", but maybe I can convince my boss for some other date in May as well (I use LEGO for my work as well so...).

It would be nice to go there, maybe together with the 1000steine folks?!

So I am quite sure that we will come:

Johan (myself) aka JopieK

Arnoud (my brother) aka Arnoud

Johan (my cousin) aka Fisherman Jopie

The Dutch have some national holidays around 30th of April (queensday) and the first week of May. Hmm seems to be that I'm becoming forgetful, I already posted that.

Is there an age limit?
It all depends my friend.

No there is not really an age limit.

Thought you where living in the states?

So if your parents let you off to Europe, we will definatley not stop you to come.

The more the merrier

Out of quriousity, how old are you VBBN?

14 at the moment, but I will be 15 on Sept. 8th.

And let me see. I might be able to come with my girlfriend. I might take a trip to Paris or Italy, and that would be a good time to do so.

Oh dear this will cost a fortune. Maybe my grandma will be willing to pay it... :sweet:

Edit: And yes, I am in the states. But, my parents were thinking of going to London or Italy in may for their anniversery., so that would work out perfectly.

At the moment my answer is a maybe. :classic:

I almost forgot to tell that my son Lukas is accompanying me to Günzburg (again).

I don´t know if this is relevant for Jan though.

My wife already invited me to go to Legoland some time ago, but with the baby now I´m not sure if we can make it.

Can those of us who never have been to a Legoland or to such an event maybe have some info what we might expect there? Apart from the basic "lots of fun" and "meeting interesting people in real life you always chat with on the internet".

Besides from what you already mentioned you will propably meet company people and get a behind the scenes tour, also some great contests with cool prizes will be held.
