Here is a small Exo-Force style mech I just made. It's got long legs for fast walking. The cockpit is hanging articulated down from the main connection between the two legs.

The pictures here are taken with a wide-angle lens, to suit the wide appearence of the runner. Here a close up frontal view.

Here a pose showing how wide the legs can move, which enable the mechs ability to run quite fast.

A good runner does not need much firearms, as its main purpose is scouting. It has two rockets though to counter enemy aircrafts, which it can't outrun.

As the cockpit is articulated, it can point down and rotate from side to side. A sofisticated stabilisation system, makes sure that the ride for the driver is comfortable even when running at fast speeds in rough terrain

The stability of this mech is very good, even though the joint for the cockpit is at the very back, the mech can stand in a lot of different poses. Only the exo-force style of armor placements on the legs can fall if the model is grabbed and adjusted fast.

I like it!

A lot!

The only thing I don´t like is your lighting. The pics are just too dark everytime. If I´m the only one to say so, it´s just my luck (or my monitor) then. But I´d prefer some more light to see the whole beauty of this MOC.

On a side note: You don´t happen to have building instructions for that one, do you?

Thank you for feedback.

DJ Force, you are right, my pictures are quite dark, and does not really show the shape and details very well. I think most of it is because of the black background though, but I tried other colours and it did not look good to me.

I will give it some thought and see if I can do better.

I think I can make a picture or two, that shows the structure of the model, half assembled.

Thx Brainbox

As requested, here is not building instructions but a picture showing the design of the set.

To the left a complete leg is seen, the mech's right leg.

In the middle the half disasembled cockpit is seen, with the connection at the back to the legs, built sturdy into the structure.

To the right the backbone of the left leg is seen, and the different peices of armor for each link laid out.

Below that the left foot, taken apart. The feets more or less fully enclose the gray click-brick connecting to it, even at the rear.

Hope it makes sense.

I think the basic design (legs and cockpit hinged at the back) is great, but I did not spend much time adding pieces. I will try and do a new one, in a different colour, taking more time on adding leg armor and designing a different cockpit with a better clear glass piece.

I'm pretty new to Lego, so I haven't really got a bin, but have a mess of bricks in varies boxes, completely unsorted. Plus Exo-sets all over the place, some still unopened. Bionicle and Technic set everywhere in windows, on the floor etc. :hmpf_bad:

I think I opened a set to get some more click-bricks for this particular Red Walker.

Blacks are mostly from:

7784 The Batmobile

Red:

7701 Grand Titan

Later today I can present the Desert Walker, basic design like this set, but better overall.

I really want to see this with some sort of enforced armor ramming type part on the tip of the nose. Since it has so few weapons I would like to see it have something to rely on in a tough spot. Missle are fine for air targets which must remain lightly armored but sturdy armored units would barely take a scratch. It would be reall sweet if this could use all its speed and momentum to damage an enemy or at least knock it down so it can run away safely.

I also like the colors, it has a sports car fast appeal.
