Batbrick Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Hi all, here is my second space moc. After my Zebra Wing as a test, I decided on creating a more futuristic and "spacey" looking craft, complete with a better colour scheme. Here is the cute guy I came up with: The Space Pod is a recreational little thing that while simple and not very long distance, is very reliable for space travel and well loved by its pilots: Rear boosters on wings move to create left or right directional thrusts: Take off shot: And also available in Version 2.0, which has forward facing thrusters for added maneuverability: Wings open: Final shot: Construction of both: Hope you enjoyed, comments appreciated! Batbrick Away! Quote
Pencoin Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Very cool ship, I like the sleek look of it, I'm not sure about the fig though. By the way could you provide a shot with the cockpit open? Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Hey Batbrick, is that a latest space pod from the Russian Aerospace Technology Corps? At the moment, I thought this was an Indiana Jones Futuristic creations of yours. Both designs are really nice, sleek and yet compatible. I am very sure you will want to replace the pliot instead of using that solider, but I must admit that the color scheme suits the pilot very well. On another hand, it reminded me of a pod racer instead. Really very nicely created, Batbrick. Quote
Guss Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 it got a nice look, I like it , what are the grey things at the back ( on the tail ) , is it supposed to be exhaust ? ^^ Quote
Brainbox Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I was looking at this earlier as well, and I must say it too is very nice. Dark green really is a wonderful colour, and it's great to see it used in such a way. Not really sure what the soldier gear is about, but no matter, as the design of the pod is sleek and cool. I think I prefer V.1 to V.2, but both are nice. And of course it fits neatly into the TLG class of craft as it has no controls of any kind. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Nice job Batbrick - and very clever use of the dark green Indy set pieces. I would never have guessed to use this color for a space MOC, but the results looks terrific. The design itself looks great too. Great job! Quote
Asuka Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 A very nice work in a charming size. I especially like its neat seed-like design. Quote
Shoc Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Wow, nice creation! My favourite Space MOC's are the smaller ones, and this is really great! The colour scheme and the shape, both are cool. Version 2 is the best. I actually prefer version 1, more 'streamlined' I suppose. Both versions I like anyway. :skull: Quote
Batbrick Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 Thanks everyone! Very cool ship, I like the sleek look of it, I'm not sure about the fig though. By the way could you provide a shot with the cockpit open? I agree the fig is random, it was my comedic attempt at showing how I ripped all the pieces from the Indy sets but I guess it was a little subtle. Sorry I can't post a pic though, the space pod is now just bricks. Hey Batbrick, is that a latest space pod from the Russian Aerospace Technology Corps? I'm glad you like it, I wanted ot make it ridiculously small so I'm glad I succeeded. Batbrick Away! Quote
Brainbox Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks BB1, and damn it! I had controls and I forgot to put them in! Let's just say it's mind-controlled. By me, because my mind is so powerful it can even reach far across space. Yeah... I'll just keep telling myself that. Quote
